[QUOTE="LegendaryFox77"] If McCain wins he will have the U.S. invade Iran.

And the moon landing was a fake. And hummers are going to destroy the earth. And yellow 5 makes your "buddy downstairs" grow inversely...
We've heard it. It's still not true.
McCain has a greater chance of getting the swing vote. The vote of independants is probably the group that pays the most attention to debates and weighs the platforms against each other. The moderate stance of McCain on the majority of issues will win over more than the outlying left stance of Obama (who is so far left, words cannot describe and as such nobody knows what the hell he's going to do other than "change"). The guys running on the "I'm a butterfly!" platform.
Hillary on the ballot would have mixed results, some people will be brought over. Others will be enraged that she isn't the first name and either not vote or vote elsewhere. Obama would do better to establish a position for her in his staff and announce it early to start the rebuilding of the carnage that has insued.
In order for Obama to take the election he either has to disguise himself as less of a left wing loony, or convince the american public that McCain is Bush and that they had that procedure from the Cage/Travolta action thriller Face/Off! Neither are going to be easy to do. At this point, I'm thinking McCain. He's rested and has been fundraising. he has a solid history to back up add cloute to his stances and he's known to reach across party lines. Obama is a relatively unknown figure to the majority of Americans and other than no Iraq and health care at "no expense" nobody knows what else he stands for. On top of that, Hillary fought tooth and nail at the expense of her party and this fierce contest is going to take more than 6 months to heal completely. The true blue dems are going to vote party lines, but there are less and less of those today.
In relevance to nothing, I think that great strides could be made for a third party this election. I'm not sayign that we'll see a huge uprising, but certainly, more and more americans are tired of both of the options and moderate, independant america is a growing breed of voters.
Keep telling yourself that. Maybe gas prices will magically go down.
