The Pittsburgh Penguins

This should have been posted a few weeks ago, but I was too busy celebrating. You see...The Pittsburgh Penguins have been saved. They are staying in Pittsburgh, where they belong. Sorry Kansas City! (The Magnificent One) Mario Lemieux has now saved the flightless birds 3 times. The man is truly amazing. Thank you Mariooooooooo Lemieuuuuuuuuuuux! The future looks bright with a VERY YOUNG core of amazing talent. Kids like Crosby, Staal, Malkin, Fleury...Whitney...Ect. Of all these players, Whit is the oldest and he's only about 25 yrs old. Crosby, and Staal are still teens. This year the Pens will be making the playoffs for the 1st time since 2001. I can't wait to see these kids (try) to grow the playoff beard! LET'S GO PENS!

New Job!

Good news to those who care...I got hired on full time at the graphic design company I was doing an un-paid internship for. :D

Graduation :)

June 23, 2006 is the day I graduate from The International Academy of Design and Technology in Pittsburgh PA with an Associates Degree in Visual Communications. Currently I am an doing an internship for Coors Light's graphic design department. I might get hired on full time after school...I hope so :D

Who needs an HDTV?

Ya, I'd love to have an HDTV to go along with my Xbox 360, but so far everything is looking great on my regular 27" TV. Sure, it might not look as sharp as it could, but the graphics are much better than Xbox 1. This is far from Xbox 1.5, this is truly the next gen, even on my good old TV.

Portable Chaos

Burnout Legends for the PSP is simply AMAZING. I can't believe I can play me some road rage anywhere at anytime. My PSP was getting some occasional play with Wipeout Pure, but now my PSP is basically an extension of my being. I will be playing Burnout Revenge soon, I won a copy during GameSpot's weekly show (On The Spot) Thank you GS! But until then, I will be experiencing Portable Chaos.

Time to round up some cash.

Ahhh E3, you make me realize I need to save up major ca$h for the future of my expensive hobby. 360, PS3, Revolution and of course the games to go with, not to mention all the current gen games I need to buy in the next year. EBGames.com is listing next gen games at $59.99. Sigh...I guess it had to happen sooner or later. Games have been at $50 for a LOOOOOONG time. Now for the good news...I will be getting an HDTV for my birthday this year.

:D

Entry # 2

At this rate I'll have 3 or 4 of these journal entries per year...

Well, I'm planning on going back to school to get my Associates Degree in Visual Communications. The semester starts on January 10th 2005  WOW...I don't know if I'm more excited, or nervous. I plan on graduating 18 months later and getting myself a kick butt job. That's it for now, thank you for reading this life changing news.

Entry # 1

Ok, let's see...It's 3:13am EST. I'm currently looking for a new job. I'm sending my resume all over the place. Who will see this resume? Will they actually read it? Will they contact me after seeing it? Those are the questions keeping me awake at night. Those are the questions that make me sick to my stomach. It's funny, in this case...An answer can be heard or it can be silent. The answer "NO" is usually silent. I think it's common courtesy for an employer to respond to you being interested in the position they are offering. But, I have found out that 99.9% of these employers don't say a word if they don't think your the right man/woman for the job. That, if you ask me is just wrong. On the other hand...The answer that can be heard is most likely "YES" This means you have got the attention of whomever is doing the hiring for this position...Which leads to either more stomach pains, or a sense of relief. I choose relief.
