@saintsatan: I've seen a "ultra low graphics" mod in action before that apparently lets Skyrim run well on a laptop. The thing is, the game looks like Runescape when it's enabled.

Just throwing this out but NES games back in the day were apparently sold for $45-60 US dollars. Inflation adjusted from 1988 one game would cost $90-$120 today.
Gamers and the gaming industry haven't adapted to slow inflation and that's why games are still $60 USD after 30 years.
Recently I bought a copy of Jungle Strike even though I have no Genesis (I was about to use my RetroN, but turns out that I'm missing the AV cables). I'm not sure if I want to get a Japanese Mega Drive or not, because even though I'm pretty sure Genesis games will fit into it I'm not sure if they'll play. Have you had any experience with this?
Also, another question. If it cannot play Genesis games is it legal for me to cut the plastic on a Genesis console to allow Mega Drive games some space?
Ever since the Wii U was announced I thought it looked like a sort of Dreamcast 2. You know, a console that drummed up a small amount of hype pre-launch, but was eventually beat out by PlayStation. It would eventually leave the race early because of it. Regardless it still has tons of niche titles that people are going to go gaga over in 20 years. (Not to forget the second screen!)
That's how I think it will be remembered, like another Dreamcast or Saturn.
I basically prefer physical copies because of the satisfaction of collecting them, but I'm mainly just looking for low prices. I still like to get physical copies off of Amazon, because you can find great deals for used ones year round (In June 2014 I got Skyrim Legendary Edition for just $20, half the price of other copies and a third of the non-sale price). Steam has great sales but they only come around, what, four times a year?
I'll probably just go wherever the industry takes me unless it's going to streaming.
Hello again.
I'm a fan of the Fire Emblem series, and want to find other games with similar mechanics to play. I've tried a few times to play an SRPG with Tactics Ogre's battle system(Final Fantasy Tactics, FFTA and Knight of Lodis, to be exact), and the small amount of time I played those games has left me an impression of them feeling slow and sluggish. The problem is that it seems that most SRPGs made after FFT have followed in its footsteps and adopted similar mechanics. Does anyone know some games with faster, more streamlined mechanics with a battle system similar to FE's?
(P.S.: I know I haven't given Final Fantasy Tactics and its kin enough of a chance. If I actually invest time in them I'll probably like them more than now.)
Just an NES front loader. But my father might be willing to give me his Intellivision if he finds it.
Hello.
I have a PS3 and Wii but missed out on the XBox 360 last generation. I've started to like shoot-em-ups but the systems I own are sorely lacking in them. So, I just have a few questions about region encoding and the system in general.
.
-Which version of the 360 should I buy? I am currently looking into either an E or an Arcade.
-Is there any difference between an S and an E? Is it true they have a safety to prevent an RROD?
-Is it possible to bypass region encoding on an XBox 360? Like I said before I want to buy the system for Japan exclusives.
-In the case that I buy a Japanese system rather than an American one, what are some region-free exclusives you know of?
