LetItRegret Blog

Rockin' the House

It's been a long time since I've been in here to post a blog update, I guess I really found no need to, no one reads this. But anyways, whatever. What's been going on, though, is something I want some people to know just cause I like to brag about **** I've gotten a job, saved up money, worked a lot. In the end it has lead to my brand new computer. Here's the new specs compared to the old:

New Computer Specs :
AMD Athlon X2 6000+ Dual Core 3.0GHz
SLI: 2x Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT XXX Edition
Corsair Dual Channel TWINX 2048MB PC6400 DDR2
Biostar TForce TF570SLI Socket AM2 Motherboard
Seagate 500GB Serial ATA HD
Microsoft Windows XP Pro Edition

I'm going to add a LightScribe DVD/CD burner and a 28" Samsung Widescreen LCD Monitor later.

Old computer specs:
AMD Athlon XP 3200+ 2.20GHz
512 MB of RAM
200 GB HD
Nvidia GeForce FX 5500
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition

So yeah, it's an amazing upgrade for me. Very much widening mine game choices and capabilties.

Wow it's WoW

L ong ago, if you would have asked me to play World of Wacraft I would've laughed and said "No game is worth $15 a month". Well, on my birthday--November 10th--I wanted a game, but I didn't know what game I wanted. I couldn't decide, and I saw WoW sitting right there and so I thought "Ok, I guess I can try it, it has a free month so if I don't like it, I only lose $20". I get, install it and start it up. I played for a couple minutes and minutes turned into hours, hours into days and days into weeks. I've been playing ever since. Now if someone were to ask me if it is addictive I would answer "Hell yes it is".

Battlefield 2 update, and an update in general

Thinking about getting a job is kind of scary. On one hand I really need to start making money so I can get working on my new computer and have it done much faster but I also have a ton of over **** going on that I just don't want to overload myself, which isn't fun but I really need to do it. But yeah, besides that I got promoted in BF2 finally I get the first unlocks for Spec-Ops and Medic. Also I joined a clan, which is called Fallen Angel Fury, or FAF. It's awesome I hope I can do my best for them. Also I've been working on some stuff for my GameSpot profile, I guess I need to update the prefix of my BF2 username for the image in my blog, just when I got it working too, gah. Oh well, good stuff.

The BF2 Newb Pilot

So, yeah, I haven't posted in a while. I've mainly been busy with end-year school stuff and now I'm out for now. But I have to go to this community college thing during the summer, but it's not bad. I get Cisco Certified after I graduate my freshman year, which is cool and it's only Mon-Thur so I get to go to Xtreme Gaming on Saturdays. Speaking of XG, everytime I go there I've only played BF2. I love that game, it's the best game I've ever played and probably the most addictive. I've finally been able to learn how to fly jets and helicopters and keep them stable. I've been doing some insane stuff in jets and even shot down an expert pilot, even though he got butt hurt over it. I'm still trying to master the ability to get behind the following jets, because it always seems like they're one step ahead of me and get right back behind me when I try any maneuvers to reverse the situation. Ahh! I want to play BF2 again but I have to wait till next Saturday.

One Step Closer

New style, new happenings. Oh yeah, baby! I'm one step closer from stepping out of the Mac prison and into the world of PC gaming. It's a big and scary step indeed, but it's worth it. So, my mom's work is closing doing and she's getting some big payment thing. I'm gonna finally get a house (instead of a crappy apartment), her old car (better than nothing), and a brand-spanking new PC. Not only that but I'll soon get a job to be able to upgrade to a lean-mean gaming machine. Finally, I'll be able to play Battlfield 2: SF, The Sims 2: Open for Business, World of Warcraft and all that good stuff. Yeah, some might be wondering how, then, do I have BF2 and Sims 2 on my collection cause I do own it. I bought it thinking I could get it to work on a crappy little laptop (yes, I was a dumbass). But alas, I worry about getting viruses and crap on the PC but after some time of saving I might buy myself a Mac laptop for music, videos and such.

"You Say A Man Can't Tell Good from Evil..."

So, about a month ago I finally got my PS2 replaced because my sister's friend apparently stole my last one, my memory and possibly my new GameShark. I've been playing all my games and finally beat Ratchet and Clank: UYA.

So many new games out there, so many I want to play but I am unable to. Black and White 2 and Age of Empires 3 comes to mind. I just can't wait till my birthday so I can finally be 16 and get a job (and hopefully an iPod for my birthday... though I might just hold out until I see what the iPod Video is gonna be like) Anyways, I hope I can a good paying job so I can get the objects of my dreams (2006 Dodge Charger, and the best computer money can possibly buy, an awesome entertainment center, and a cool room/apartment). But, alas, it just feels to far away and by the time I get my dream computer AoE3 and BaW2 will be obsolete.

School... well... is going pretty damn well. My best year ever. All A's and one B. Hopefully they'll keep this in mind when they're shopping for my birthday present. November 10th is my birthday, btw.

Destination: Hell

No, I'm not playing Doom3. I'm going somewhere much more scarier. My Sophomore year of High School I don't like this, especially History. Thanks to strict homework rules, and there is no bypassing them. Though, besides that most classes are awesome. Especially Drivers ED, I've always wanted to drive ever since I was younger. It's also good to see my friends and make new friends, plus see some friends from long ago that now are appearing in my classes.

Salvation My Brother

I finally found a computer gaming center, Extreme Gaming. Thus letting me play nearly every PC game I wanted to play. Battlefield 2, Half-Life 2, Doom 3, and others. It's fairly priced, so I think, at $5 for 2 hours, $15 for a weekday all-day pass, $20 for a weekend all-day pass.

Only 55% more to go before I become level 6 and I can create a union. Though I have no idea what I would wanna make and even if it would gain some popularity. Almost every idea for a union has been taken I could do a Gaia Online union but it doesn't seem logical that many people from Gaia would come over to Gamespot I dunno, I'll figure it out sooner or later.

I'm trying to work on my sig but each time I try to upload a .jpg into imageshack or photobucket it says that it can't and I have no idea whats wrong with it. This is why I hate windows so much, it's not very user friendly. Though I also love it for it's gaming capabilities; oh, a tangled web we weave.

Disk In, Disk Out

I have an eMac. Maybe not for long, but it's probably the best computer I've ever had. Seeing as that I am financially challenged. Ah well, I'm not complaining. Only one more year until I can get a job. Sweet 16. The first thing I want to get is an iPod. I digress. The Macintosh is probably not the best thing to start on when you wish to become a gamer, there are so many games I want to get and play but I can't because of what I operate on. The Sims 2 for example. Yeah, it's coming out for Mac but I have to wait a while to get it, and not only that but University just came out so I'm going to have to wait even longer for that. Then I want to get Warhammer 40k, Age of Empires III, and all that good stuff but I either have to wait months-even years-to get it. Even then there is a slim chance it'll even *come* to Mac. I'm a PC Gamer trapped in a Mac body.
