Unreal Tournament 3 shares a lot of similarities to both the original Unreal Tournament, as well as UT2K4. The mods included in UT3 are Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Vehicle- Capture the Flag, Duel, and Warfare.

Mainly V-Ctf and Warfare are the two new ones. V-Ctf is basically CTF with vehicles, while warfare is essentially Onslaught, but with more assault characterstics added in, such as controlling aspecific node to lower a bridge, or drain the enemies' core every 60 seconds.

Single-player they attempted to add a story. It basically consists of some pretty high quality cutscenes with a "pick-and-chose" battle map that gives the illusion of a non-linear game. Basically, if you're buying this game just for the single player story campaign, it's just like any other UTcampaign; a series of instant action matches.

Some newer features would be character customization, hoverboards (very cool things in V-Ctf and Warfare modes), and of course a ton of newer vehicles.

Seems like it would be hard to play on a console, but it's definetely a great FPS game that is worth the buy.

I wish Bioshock was winning, but in a way I am glad UT3 is....maybe it will get more people playing it online.

World of Warcraft - stopped a few months ago but will probably come back to it.

Neverwinter Nights - I don't know how many hours I spent playing this game.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion + SI: same as Neverwinter.

Unreal Tournament 2k4: I was addicted to Onslaught and Invasion.

Jedi Knight-Jedi Outcast: Played this online consistently for over a year, good times.

I have never heard of that mod and I never use Mod Manager, however I can provide a bit more information on the armor. I'm pretty sure the way it works is that every four levels you will start to see newer/improved armor types off of humanoid enemies, such as marauders/vampires, etc.

The way the generic progression works I believe is:

Heavy Armor - Iron -> Steel(4+) -> Dwarven(8+) -> Orcish(12+) -> Ebony(16+) -> Daedric(20+)

Light Armor - Fur -> Leather -> Chainmail -> Mithril -> Elven -> Glass

Each one after Iron/Fur are on 4 level increments. This should be true with vendor merchandise as well.

I'd like to see more quality RPGs being made. The Witcher is the only one that's worth mentioning this year.artur79

Only one worth mentioning? I thought Mask of the Betrayer was a much better RPG.

I am very happy with the 2007 PC games....Bioshock, Command and Conquer 3, Unreal Tournament 3, Supreme Commander, Burning Crusade, etc.

I don't play anymore, but from my experience those earlier levels pretty much are the way that they are. You basically just do all the quests and move from area to area. Since you're a paladin, once you get into the 30's you can spec protection and AoE grind mass amounts of monsters all at once, which will help you level faster (an in-depth guide to Prot grinding can probably be found on the WoW Paladin forums or just by googling it). I think the key thing is to just make sure you're doing quests; trying to grind your way through levels is inefficient.

Eh I saw a fairly noticeable difference from Mask of the Betrayer and regular NWN 2, but I don't have any specific numbers in FPS change/etc.

Not too much to say. If you like the Unreal Tournament franchise you will like UT3, basically very similar stuff with amazing graphics. Seems like playing this game on a console would be horrible, though.

I'm glad Bioshock got a lot of attention, but these Spike TV awards have always beena joke in my eyes.

A lot of the games mentioned so far are definetely good answers. I only saw 1 post that mentioned Sacrifice, which is really too bad that so few people know about that game. I also thought Perimeter was a very interesting RTS game, which, again, not many people have played.
