Get a cane in the first floor hallway to the left of the front door, and wood from the room where the 1st floor safe is, under the window.

I have this problem also, and it seems that many, many other people have encountered the same glitch. The glitch appears to specifically affect Athlon 64 CPUs, so it's probably not related to video codecs or anything like that. Also, the "minimum spec" issue is not the cause because if you remove the "movies" folder from the "data" folder in the game's install directory, the game runs smoothly, albeit without cutscenes.

So, until they patch it, that's one option, even if it's not really a "fix."

KOTOR2 is a decent game. If you loved the first one as much as I did, you should definately give it a shot. Just don't expect a story that's quite as solid.

If you're more interested in gameplay than the star wars setting, try Jade Empire. It's really freakin' good.

Firefly as a Sci-Fi franchise just doesn't seem all that conducive to an MMO. After all, the show was driven by its characters far more than it's universe. The Firefly universe itself wasn't even all that spectacular--don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan, but in all truth, it was a fairly standard sci-fi setting. The show was so great because of the characters that populated it and the chemistry between them. None of this would be possible to capture in a MMO.

In my opinion, a single player RPG with a good story and all the original cast members would make a lot more sense. Think Knights of the Old Republic.

Franchises with a massive, unique universe make good mmo's. (-ahem- Dune...) Even with all its greatness, Firefly wasn't one of these.
