Why isn't The Lord of the Rings Online: Mines of Moria a choice? Why is this game being consistantly ignored dispite stellar reviews and a strong subscription base?

Yeah, that freezing problem isn't Majora's Mask's fault, it's a result of a sloppy port to the Gamecube. It's unfair to dislike Majora's Mask because of that.

Anyway, I'd say I give the edge to Majora's Mask when compared to Ocarina of Time, though they really are both amazing. I guess it's because I love side-quests, but its also because of the brillant time based gameplay mechanics (which either made you love or hate the game).

Wow, I'm surprised there are so many people here that dislike the SSB series. Eh, that's a shame, I thought it was more universally liked. Either way, it was definetly a reason for why I got a Wii, but by no means the ONLY reason. There are PLENTY of other great games that I'm looking foward to on Wii. Plus, you know, Zelda.

Yeah, TP certainly was an amazing game....but not the revolution in gaming like Ocarina was. It was nice to have one final Ocarina-like Zelda game, but it seems like it IS time for a reinvention, like Ocarina did to the 2-D Zelda's before it. Is it possible? Hopefully...But as it stands, TP probably deserved a better score. The fact that it was overly hyped and compared to its predecessors seemed to cloud judgements when looking at the game sepeartly on it's own merits-it's an amazing game by itself- just somewhat of a disapointment to everyone's unfairly high expectations.

For everyone complaining about the 8.9: It's a great score for a port of a 9 year old game. It's only natural that graphics and sound would knock the score down, it's certainly not up to today's standards. I wouldn't pay it too much attention, Gamespot always reviews their games harshly, thinking that they are being "critical". I find much more indepth AND fair reviews on Gametrailers.com, though I suppose GS and IGN make some valid arguments some of the time.

Insanely hard choice....along with the two Zeldas, they are most likey the best GC games available. Both VERY atmospheric (with Prime a bit more), both have great gameplay (RE4 slightly better), and GREAT artistic style in their graphics. Boss fights are great for both (though RE4's tend to be a bit easier) and while there is a bit more action and less reading in RE4, (assuming you actually read the scannable parts in Prime), for most it doesn't bog down the action. Honestly though, I can't pick between the two, they are too close. I'd get both if possible, but if not, then go for the currently cheaper one (which would be a used copy of Prime) and pick up RE4 later on.... both brillant games.

[QUOTE="BeErBOnG29"]Ok, after many people telling me this is a fantastic game, I gave in and bought it.

That was your mistake. You should have tried it out first. A lot of people love this game, you don't, no big deal. A lot of people love The Sims. I don't see the point of it, but that doesn't mean it's not a good game.

Exactly. I'm tired of people who think that just because THEY don't like a game, that makes it terrible. Just like The Sims for me. I find it boring, but I acknowledge that it is a great game, even if it isn't exactly my "cup of tea".

And to the topic starter: Part of what people who love this series like about the game is the humor. If you don't find the humor funny then the game's charm is lost on you. The other half I'd say would be the fast based and addicting microgames of the series. But of course, if you don't find those enjoyable either, then there really is nothing for you in the game. Can't please them all...
