In what way is making community service a requirement for graduation any more involuntary servitude than making doing your homework and writing exams a requirement for graduation? Both are instances of the government requiring students to do work in order to graduate.

Homework isn't required, its just well advisable to pass, at least in my school. Plus your actually LEANRING about the subject your trying to graduate in. I don't see how if i'm trying to get a medical degree, I should be forced to go to a nursing home JUST TO GET IT. It makes no sense. Do it for teens and kids, not college students who actually have a view of the real world.
