^ The 256 player battles are insane, and theres so many players on your screen at once. MAG and BFBC2 are must buy MP games.racing1750

Good to know, I've only heard a few people defending it over on the GB forums. Are there parts where there really are 256 players in one battle? I thought everyone was relegated to different parts of the map.

All we have so far about Treyarch's game is that it's taking place sometime during the Cold War.

Also, it's possible that IW is leaving MW3 to Sledgehammer Games, which is being led by the devs who made the first Dead Space. Don't people read the articles on this site...ever?

Yeah, from what I can tell, MAG's 256 player online may sound really cool, but it's all kept to 8-vs-8 skirmishes, and people who've played the MAG beta keep saying that they didn't like the gameplay because the shooting mechanics weren't satisfying. They're also saying they liked the BFBC2 beta much more. I only mention the BFBC2 (Battlefield Bad Company 2) part because people keep comparing the two, making me think the gameplay is similar.

So what do they have? Right now, it's God of War III (touché, Sony), the better version of FFXIII (trust me on that one), Heavy Rain (touché again), and some titles later in the year. The premium service sounds okay, but I doubt most people are going to pay for it because they already have online play for free.

Oh, also, the Left 4 Dead boss infected (the Tank, and debatably the Witch) are pretty intense too.

Resident Evil 5, Ninja Gaiden II, Bayonetta, Devil May Cry 4, and Ninja Blade all come to mind as boss battles that are epic in scale.

If you're looking for epic psychologically and story-wise, add Dead Rising to the above list. If you also count "bosses" that really aren't difficult to beat and require alternative methods to defeat, add Assassin's Creed (I and II).

I also assume Darksiders probably has some good boss fights, and I'm positive Dante's Inferno will have some good ones as well.

If you really think you could replay Assassin's Creed, get it; I honestly loved that game to pieces, but replaying any segment of it was just sort of dull.

Dead Space is a surefire title for $30. As for FEAR, FEAR 2 is the game with strong online, so get that if you're not getting Creed.
