[QUOTE="Lois_Saphir"]First impressions are important, but unrelated to actual intelligence. Let me guess, you are one of those girls (or maybe you are a guy) that has always got by on your looks?BiancaDK
I never first impressions had anything to do with intelligence. Notice what i am replying to. Reading comprehension ftl. Wow, you are like a broken record, aren't you? Must be hard to know you in person. Why don't youtake your own advice and reread what I wrote in regards to the qote of yours I was replying too? I never said you related first impressions to intelligence. I just jumped from your opinion that first impressions are important, and made a statement that I agree--you hear that? AGREE--with you to the point that they are important. But I still think that is completly unrelated to IQ. What is that you say? Reading comprehension ftl?
[QUOTE="Lois_Saphir"][QUOTE="BiancaDK"]This thread totally fails in almost all aspects, even the replies. TC does have a point, how obscure and negligeble they may seem. A very bad point (he does not back this up by any source information outside of his own self, whatsoever), but a point nonetheless. The people drawing on personal experiences to counterargue TCs point is just as silly as his point is valid. The only way to prove him wrong is by actually proving him wrong. Talking about it and only calling on subjective points of view really will get us nowhere. Give surveys, statistics and phd+ individuals please.BiancaDK
I like how you agree with him, albeit by saying he fails to back it up, and then in a twist of irony, you yourself fail to back up your agreement. You are just s moot as the rest of us. I said TC has a point. I never said i agreed with that point. Reading comprehension ftl. You may not have said it, but you implied it with the "TC does have a point" bit. Then, when you say it was a "bad point," you imply that it is only bad because he does not back it up. Maybe you should think more about what you type than what is just on the surface of your words. I am an english major with a minor in psychology, so I tend to read into things deeper than some.
