I am excited about the PS3, but I have enough patience to wait until next year to see if there are any problems that come up regarding heat dissipation or other glitches, or maybe an (unlikely) price drops. I've never been a launcher, and $600 seems a lot of money to throw down, especially when I want to get an HDTV as well. I think the HDTV might be a closer purchase than the PS3 since I could enjoy the Superbowl and Daytona with it.
