I played MG 1 through MGS 3: Subsistence and thought it was a pretty flawed game (Yes, it is old but even so the gameplay wasn't polished to say the least). Also, if I recall correctly Metal Gear itself wasn't even in the game. I can't speak on the 2nd one as I've never tried it. Kojima would most likely have to go back and completely flush out the games. I say leave those games in peace and work on new Metal Gear games.

Actually, it was in the game. Not quite fully functional (it just stood there while you c4'd its feet) but it IS in the game... If I remember correctly, it's called the TX-55
