From the sound of it, I think you are trying to connect your PS3 to a PC monitor via the DVI port with an HDMI to DVI cable. If this is the case, make sure your monitor is HDCP compliant. If it is not, you will not get a picture with the PS3 on that display. You will either have to get an HDTV or a component to VGA transcoder box ($80-$100) and even then, they don't work all that well.

Just google your monitor model number and HDCP and see what comes up.

u r ryt im tryin with my pc monitor and it dont support hd so is this mean that it wont work with my ps3 at all or it will work at low resolution plz i need help about that by the way any one know the answer of my second question coz i realy wanna know it thanx to all of ppls who tryied to help me
