My friend has a U320 headset from Sennheiser hes using on the older "fat" model PS3. Hes unable to hear any other players in games or in the PS3 dash chat. we can hear him, but he cant hear us.

im using the same exact headset on a PS3 slim, both are connected exactly the same way (the way the instructions recommend) and mine works no problem. his PS3 software is up to date, we have been through the menu setting repeatably and everything should be set, but still not hearing other players in any chat. if he disconnects the headset and uses the TV speakers, he can hear other players just fine, but once the headset is set up again, he loses it again.

is there some setting someplace i could be missing? one that isnt obvious that can affect USB headsets? to cause other players to not be heard?

im at a total loss, and Sennheiser tech support has no idea other than to check connections and menu settings, which we are certain are correct, per the instructions that came with the headset, and the fact that my pair works no problem.

something up with the older PS3? different USB ports affecting it maybe? i have no idea.

any suggestions or help is more than welcome as im trying to get this sorted out for him.

thanks in advance

I'm always astonished to see people with very expensive rigs not being knowledgable about PC parts. SSDs will do nothing for you for gaming.

Do you drive a car? did you build that? do you change your own oil, brakes, belts, etc? i work hard to earn my money, and some people would rather just jump into what they want to do during their free time, like playing games instead of figuring out what parts work with what and the other possible conflicts that can arise from building a PC from scratch, unless your insinuating that PC building doesnt come with hiccups here and there. but thanks for the info anyway

I plan on picking up an SSD in the near future for its obvious benefits. but was curious about somethng in regards to gameplay. in games like DayZ or Arma 3, when traveling across the open landscape, you might notice some trees textures will come into focus when you get close, while others will render themselves further out. will an SSD load things like trees, textures for trees, bushes, buildings, etc in a more timely fashion? meaning will they all load at a more uniform pace? or will some things still render themselves once i get up to them stil. sorry if my description is shit, cant think of a better way to describe it. thanks in advance. just looking to see what improvements i mght see in ames like Arma3 and DayZ

Demo was great and put me up for another person who hasnt experienced any of the issues hes complaining about. Sounds exactly like a GT5 troll, who creates other accounts and then uses them to post and make it look like more people are on his side. you fail at life.

game not hard enough? oh well, move along. you stated your case, and guess what, the game is gonna play the way the game plays. complain all you want, it wont help. it wont change things, and they are not putting in an "uber-hard" mode. lol, your see-through dude, not fooling anyone.

you dont like the game, ok, we figured that out, now the next step is to simply forget about it. dont buy it, keep wishing something else will turn up. i say you should spend the time stroking your ego some more, lol. you know what they say, if you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself. so i guess well be seeing your super uber ultra impossible racing game out in a few years? ill keep my eyes and ears peeled for it ;-)

please feel free to jump on your alt accounts and disagree with me while also defending your main account. seen it all before man, lol.

Its good for the ps3. Just make sure to connect the HDMI cable with the PS3 and make sure the HDMI cable is 1.3 and not 1.2. Sony sells HDMI cables specificly for the PS3 on their website. Also make sure you calibrate the settings on your TV such as picture, contrast, brightness etc. To get the best picture for your games and Blu ray movies.AgentZero225
