Been a while...

Just a reminder of a previous posts and my wanted game list which starts to be dated...

-Haze, a game produced by the creators of the Time Splitters serie has to be great. This game should be a great title for Ps3. I've rented the game and to say frankly, I though it was fun, but basicly it. A let down... that won,t make my collection in the end.

- Devil May cry 4, one of the best serie to come out on the Ps2 is back for more. Really looking forward as DMC 3 is one of my favorite game. I've beated the game almost 3 times, I play from time to time and it was deffinately a good game (still is)

- Dynasty Warrior 6, aside from the change of weapon of Xiahou Dunn, this look promising with many new features that should add to this great serie. The only let down is Xiahou Dunn's weapon as I have though. This used to be one of the fastest hacker of the game and he got ruined, he's almost unplayable. Aside from that, I've got lots of fun and the AI is quite though!

- Gran Turismo 5, the creators finally pulled off the impossible : signing a contract with Ferrari. After trying out the demo, It'd be hard to ignore THE simulator of driving simulators. I haven't got the guts to rent Prologue yet, but frankly I have well enough games to keep me occupied

- Grand Theft Auto IV, after playing San Andreas which was a classic, the hopes are high for this one. I shall correct the 10th I gave to this game, it's an awesome game, but doesn't deserve a 10, there are some points that have been a downside, but overall, one of the best GTA so far.

- Hei$t, I'm not too sure what to think about this game, though, from what we can gather, this look intriguing. Little more is known about this game so far, but frankly, I'm not as hyped as I thouh this game could have been.

- Soul Caliber is one of the best fighting game on the market, if you add Yoda and Darth Vader to the serie, it becomes a must (well ok not really and I find it a little weirdo to see these 2 characters in the game, but it can't be bad, can it?).

- Metal Gear Solid 4, man this game coming out is a dream come true. This serie is solid and should prove a big push in the Ps3 favor. This game is just around the corner and frankly, I wonder if I'll have the time to play, more on this later...

- MLB '08 The Show, as I said beofre, I'm waiting for this game, this serie is the best baseball simulator around... I haven't gotten around to buy the game in the end, but I rent it from time to time, man what a great game! been having lots of fun every time I've rented it (perhaps I even spent more money renting the game then I would have had if I'd have been buying it in the beginning.

- Brother's in Arms : Hell's Highway, no release date, I've been a fan of the 2 last instalment which makes you feel like you're going throuhg the Steven Spielberg serie of the same name. The game is now dated for august, the new video released makes me drool. Been holding myself from any FPS so far on the Ps3 (none where to my likings anyway).

New entries :

- Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm, man I've got the whole serie so far and it's awesome, playing as Shukaku or Gamabunta? INSANE!

- Saints Row 2, I've barely seen the first entry on Xbox, this game looks promising, what?!? co-op that allows you to play the storyline?!? OMFG!

- Infamous, wow being able to play as an anti-hero or a hero depending of your actions sounds great. A game that has a little something unique.

- Way of the Samurai 3, Why is it even on my list? The first was so so, boasts good potentiel, but in the end wasn't up to it, the second was a let down, I prefered the first. Still, the storyline can be good and the gameplay if well put, this game can end up in my collection.

- God of War 3, do I have to say anything?!? KRATOS FTW! greek mythology hasn't been interesting before this.

- FF XIII and Versus, I know, you might have seen me ranting about Square-Enix horrible marketing strategy, but these games looks good, so yeah... there... I have said it.

- The Last Remnant, seriously, this look like the most promising game by Square since ... since ... since.... uhhh well FF X seriously.

- Wolf of the Battlefield, this looks like a so-so game. BUT, you can play up to 3, the gameplay could bring some fun if you have some friends to hang with.

- Elveon, OK my first though is when I saw the screens : WTF?!?!? Since when does elves have beards?!?!???? But saving Nimathar sound quite the stuff!

- The Lord of the Ring : The White Council, THis game is before Bilbo, that leaves around 2 ages and 3/4, quite a long span if you ask me (between 1 year to some 30,000 years I'd think). Considering all the empty spots J.R.R Tolkien left for otehrs to work with, this looks like the mongus bongus game!!!! (Yeah I have some Tolkienesque knowledge and to tell the truth, I was expecting for a long time something other then the Canons, a game or a movie about the book Children of Hùrin as an example).

- And finally, but none the less, how could Fallout 3 be out of this list?!?!??? GEEEEEEZZZZZZZZ THis has to be one of the best RPG upcoming!

End of List (for now at least)

Well I am not too fond of the Nintendo Ds gaming style to be truthful, but it has FF III and an upcoming remake of FF IV which looks uber awesome. SO yeah, I'm debating weither or not I should buy that stuff thingey, there is also the PsP for the God of War game on it. I'm a shareholder of Logique Eclectic, a french compagny from Quebec which focus on a hockey simulation game, quite the good stuff if you ask me, we're working on GM Hockey 2009, which should come out in english for the first time. That leaves me with little gaming time overall since I'm busy with real work (yeah being a shareholder of a compagny which has 0 income isn't viable as a unique source of income) plus developping a game. I have gone through unlocking most characters in Dynasty Warrior, beated a few times DMC 4, but Rogue Galaxy remains to be finished and I have to go through GTA IV as well. My main concern is the time I have to spend playing MGS4, man I have no life left with all these games. Mostly that I started playing Lord of the Ring : Online as well, good times, great game. Could make a blog on this later on lol.

Seriously, I've been ranting for easily half an hour, and I have stuff to do before bed time, so more coming on ... another time.

Yep! it's done!

Another expected games on my list is nailed!

I bought Dynasty Warrior 6 this week. Well and so far it's all what I was expecting, this game is more like DW 3 but... improved hehe. I like how they made up the game so far, been playing only with Sima Yi since I,m waiting to be able to play with a friend to take more interesting characters. I don't see why they didn't put in the game Da (or Xia) Qiao since one of the two is in the game and they are twin sisters... I brought back BladeStorm to EB finally lol. Now I've got too many games to play and too little time to play 'em all lol. Still got to finish Rogue Galaxy, DMC4 and now Dynasty Warrior 6. But these games present lots of fun so am gonna keep 'em anywayz, so I have time left :P

One nailed and 9 or so to go!

Well in my last entry, I named the few games I was looking forward to on the Ps3, so today I bought Devil May Cry 4... I also pre-ordered the collector's edition of GTA IV at the same time and frogot to bring back BladeStorm at Ebay Games. I'll start off with BladeStorm hehe. I enjoyed that game for a while, but it quickly became pointless lately to me and the game grew on on me in a bad way. I still believe that a new installment with good improvement could make this game a great game, but the current version is just fun for a while... so yeah, next time I have a reason to go back at EB, I'll bring back BladeStorm.

About the Collector's Edition of GTA IV, I really like what it packs and I like the bank deposit box the game comes with and the songs in the game are always good so the music cd is a great bonus to me. I'm even more looking forward to the game then I used to be.

Now here goes for the big deal hehe, DMC 4. I haven't written a review yet and won't untill I have more then only a few hours into it. Just to give an honest opinion. I've been trying at the medium level (I dun remember how they called it in the game lol), but I think i'll have to restart with the easy mode as I haven't been good enough to beat the first secret mission lol, but playing at the easy level would most likely help me brush my skills at that game that seemed to have gone the sink lol. But so far, the plot and the cutscenes are just so great and the loading time is quite low since you have to install the game on the HDD. I believe it should have had been an option but at least it's worth it. I'll leave it at that for now about this game.

Since I bought Rogue Galaxy, I didn't got to play it really, I've been having 30 hours down into the game in the past few weeks though and I enjoy the game very much so. Though I despise the way you need to upgrade the weapons lol (not really in a bad way), it's just such a time sinks since I'm trying to combine most weapons in the frog log and that means going trhough about 20 fights per sword (sometimes you need a few swords of the same kind) so yeah that blows lol, but the storyline is very good and it's totally worth it.

About time...

About time I write another entry I suppose. This past 2 weeks were hectic at works, we were 3 to do the job of 5 persons. And we probably dropped to 2 since one guy is out for injury lol. We had a new guy this week, but the job seems to be too though for him.

Anyways, I finished Assassin's Creed last week end and I though the ending was so so, I was expecting a little more then that. But overall it was a really good game besides it being redundant. I returned Nascar '08 (didn't left me a good impression) and some Ps2 games (notably, Naruto Ultimate Ninja, Dynasty Warrior 5 and it's expansions and uh some other games I already forgot about). I bought DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3, which is quite impressive, the controls are better then ever and this game makes you feel what being a Z fighter is all about. Sometimes I end up saving the replays of some fights since it was worth a tv show. My only complain about that game is that most characters were already unlocked, but then again, it makes it easier for versus, so it's not all that bad either. I though about buying MLB The Show '07, but then again, the next installment should be around the new season, so I figured I should wait 'till then and get the brand new one. Uncharted was quite tempting, but then again, I've heard it was too short. I wasn't so sure about Medal of Honor, it has great reviews but I,m not too fond of the series, I prefer waiting for the next Brother's in Arms instead.

So yeah there wasn't much choices for Ps3 games. I was tempted by Naruto Ultimate Ninja 2 as well, but the next installment is coming out pretty soon. Since I've finished Assassin's Creed, I've been playing DBZ as I mentionned and Rogue Galaxy, I bought it when it came out but never got to play it really, I'm about 8 hours into it so far and it's pretty good. I've seen an oldie game on the PlayStation Store : Rampart. Lol I've had that game on the Sega Drive, I'm tempted in buying it for old time's sake.

I've rented Uncharted (which I haven't tried so far) and DYnasty Gundam, I tried one mission and I'd say, the review GameSpot did wasn't correct, without the game deserving 9, it still deserve a better note. One of the best gundam game we've seen in america so far in my opinion.

The games I'm looking forward to (not necessarily in order):

-Haze, a game produced by the creators of the Time Splitters serie has to be great. THis game should be a great title for Ps3.

- Devil May cry 4, one of the best serie to come out on the Ps2 is back for more. Really looking forward as DMC 3 is one of my favorite game.

- Gran Turismo 5, the creators finally pulled off the impossible : signing a contract with Ferrari. After trying out the demo, It'd be hard to ignore THE simulator of driving simulators.

- Grand Theft Auto IV, after playing San ANdreas which was a classic, the hopes are high for this one.

- Hei$t, I'm not too sure what to think about this game, though, from what we can gather, this look intriguing.

- MLB '08 The SHow, as I siad beofre, I'm waiting for this game, this serie is the best baseball simulator around...

- Brother's in Arms : Hell's Highway, no release date, I've been a fan of the 2 last instalment which makes you feel like you're going throuhg the Steven Spielberg serie of the same name.

Well so that's it for now :P

First post

I probably won't post often but meh what the hell, here is the experiences I might have with gamings...

Last week I bought a brand new Ps3 80 gigs. I went to EB Games to buy this neat work of technology. I was planning on buying the 60 gig model for the EE Chip, but at the store the seller told me that the emulator should be playing my games whatsoever and that they had a deal... the 80 gig + 2 games (well motorstorm which is included plus 1 out of 5 games like NHL '08, Ratchet and Clank, Assassin's Creed, and two other games which I can't recall). So I picked Assassin's Creed, bought BladeStorm and Nascar '08 (or '07, the most recent in any case). Along with a ps2 memory card adapter. The HDMI cable was way over priced (like 60 bucks, so I didn't bought it).

When I get to home I plug my stuff 'n all and consider having dinner before starting to play (by then, the store would close and you'll get the point sooner or later in this post). so I start the rig and am completely enthralled by the lil thingey... I check the setting of the Ps3 and put them the way I enjoy. I realize that it doesn't recognize WEP2 keys on routers for wireless net. Since am gonna have to head to work later on I want to play asap, so I told myself "what the heck, just fix the damn router tomarow". So I input the Assassin's Creed cd in the machine and hit play... the game tells me it has to update the system to 1.94 to play. Whatever I click ok and do all the procedures. Right about the end I hit the PS button which closes the Ps3. So yeah now I just killed my Ps3.... I could have had reformatted the hard disk (still not sure if it'd have helped since I couldn't find any insight on the net about it) But anyway I doesn't have any plugs for that type of hard disk (which I presume is about the same as the ones for laptop). So I realize the store is now closed and that I have to go to work for a few hours meh! What a deception!!!

In the morning ('cause yeah I work overnight), right after work, I head to the store as soon as it opens to bring back my Ps3, I tell them some lies aobut it not working anymore for obscure reasons... They just say too bad, we'll give you a brand new one. Great! I decide to go to some electronic's accessory, where I know they'll sell an hdmi cable at a cheap price and figure what? The same cable that they were selling 60 bucks at EB Games was 21 bucks at Addison, whaty a bargain! I go back home and plug it and decide to configure properly my router so that I can plug my Ps3 on the net. I do all the thingey and download the version 2.0 of the system (without closing the system halfway through this time lol). I'm twice more excited about playing Assassin's Creed as I can play in HD now. I start the game and wow, the graphics are amazing and there isn't really animation!! I found it all amazing hehe.

So far I might have 6 or so hours through AC, After finishing the second sequence I though it was begining to be all the same (going from one observation point to the other) to complete the game... besides that the storyline is really intriguing, so much so that I'm gonna head to play some more now lol...

I also input more insights about the game and BladeStorm in some other times.
