Wipeout is still an incredible game. The other games you mentioned do not ring a bell, so maybe a lack of popularity did them in more than Sony did?

psygnosis was formed in the late 80´s look their franchises, now a days they are all forgoten, but back then about half of them were really hyped and enjoyed

colony wars was pretty decent but I couldn't get into Rastan.. I think what happened to them is the same thing that happens to a lot of dev houses once they get bought out. They concentrait on the "money makers"... GOD I hope EA doesn't screw up Bioware like that..
