Finally, a full 1000

I finally got a full one thousand achievement points out of a retail game today, that game being Viva Piñata. Not the hardest game to get 1000 points out of, but I completed the task all the same. Out of fifty separate achievements, I got the other forty-nine before Day 180, so I had to leave the game running for seventy more days (in-game time), which is something like fourteen hours real time. I wasn't going to watch the game clock for that long, so I watched television instead, occasionally popping back in to the game to cancel Factory requests. If I knew how to keep the game from making Factory requests (thus pausing the clock), that would have made things a lot easier. Still, achievement-wise the game is completed, but I may go back and try to acquire all the Piñata I hadn't in my initial playthrough, filling in those blank boxes with player awards. I should really focus on other games however, I own too many that are essentially unplayed. At the time of writing, my gamerscore is 5705. I also received the Xbox games I ordered from DVD Empire today, and I tried them all out. I'm really bad at Mega Man, but games of the past are arguably more difficult than games of today, so some persistence is required. I really must buy a Nintendo Wii, if only to play all the GameCube games I own. Maybe I should just buy a GameCube, it'd be cheaper and they're certainly available.
