Pure business today gentlemen and ladies. I have recently got onto Ebay for the first time this year, making my 6th account due to lacking the standards in memory to remember my old account. I then checked my Paypal, turns out I have 400+ in my Paypal account. The great thing about time is that it flies and makes things shiney or brazen, not dull, dull is for you pescimistic people. Anyhow, I haven't touched PayPal in over like 2 years. So this money is like FREE MONEY.
I never said MAN I WISH I HAD 400 DOLLARS! Because I never needed extra earnings. So I decided I was going to spend this money ASAP! So I began looking through my extensive comic book collection, which is pretty weak and decided I would begin my hard charge into the Late Silver and Bronze age of comics (1964-85). The turn out was great.
I won't bore details with everything I got, but the big hitters are: ULTRON'S FIRST APPEARANCE IN AVENGER'S #54, THE DAY GWEN STACEY DIED, AVENGERS UNASSORTED 12-50 (only like 22 from those), WOLVERINE Volume 2 (1986-2003) issues 1-170 PLUS! Wolverine Annuals, and Origins originals. And NICK FURY'S/SGT FURY'S HOWLING COMMANDO'S 1-30. I got a lot more. All of it cost less than 250. The standard I set for early estimated appraisal is close to 6000. I will appraise them personally when I get them.
So I had some money left and I picked up my lil brothers from school and in the backseat they were all like GATE CARD SET! And I was like STFU BACK THAR! And they did... But I really wanted to hear what they were going on about.
Turns out they been playing some Wapanese game called Bakugan. Now, I utterly hate this game, butthese kids are like my kids and I hope they get the same astute interests that I had their age. I of course played MtG since 3rd edition, Pokemon until Safari, some Hack, some DBZ, and other little shameless card games. The kids inheirted all my crap when I turned of age and they just sorta collected them and never played the game. It really pissed me off.
So to see them playing a game that required no cords and all paper made me smile a bit. So I had them teach me the game so I could utterly beat them. They didn't have everything they needed so I couldn't do it, but I learned the game. I went online to read the game rules, they were about 35% WRONG. So I read more about it and decided a strategy (what strategy is available for the 5+ game) and began buying the best pieces on Ebay.
I really hate the concept of the game, marbles with cards, but it's something I can actually do without a television with the boys. Anyone play this effing game?
