Responsible for spreading the addiction...

I have just gotten my Xbox hooked back up to Xbox Connect again and the other night my friend came over to my house and saw me playing our usual favorite game (Ghost recon2) online in a 8 vs. 8 Team match. It was pretty funny, at first he had no idea I was playing online. He kept asking me how I was playing the vs. mode without anyone. He thought my team and the other team were all AI. I just kept blasting people, laughing to myself. Then he heard some voice from out of no where, like a "Voice of God" of sorts. The voice was barking orders "On your left!....Flank Right!......Grenade! Fall Back!" Thats when it finally sunk in. He started freaking out. "Oh my GOD your playing online! I want in! I want in! Get my profile into this game and plug me in!" As you can imagine I couldn't take much of that so I let the people I was gaming with know that I had another player who wanted in and as luck would have it, 3 of the players were planning on going anyhow. I told them I had to get my console set up so his usuall profile was in and we would be split screen. When we returned we had an AWESOME game of 7 vs. 7 and my friend and I were on the same team. It was pretty cool as we both knew how the other played since we play alot of co-op missions together so we worked really well as a two man killing force for our 7 man team. the two of us ended up having the highest stats of our team consistantly. Needless to say my friend was instantly hooked even more on Gaming at my house. He went from playing the occasional game of Ghost Recon 2 with me to getting mildly addicted playing regularly every weekend. But now that he has experienced online play, he's been over everyday playing for like 3-4 hours. We have a total blast but I can't help but feel a little bad for feeding his addiction. His wife called him this last gaming session and I could hear her yelling at him on his cell phone. LOL I had to tell him maybe he should game in moderation. We both had a good laugh at that and fired up another game.
