I think putting off buying a decent card till DX10 and Vista is just suicide. Imagine the amount of today's games that will NOT run anymore due to this change over... your gonna have to wait for drivers, patches, windows updates, all sorts till you have a stable DX10 Vista system that can support all of your favourite games. And like most people are saying, DX10 ready games are not gonna look much better (if at all) in most of 2007 than the DX9 mode on today's high end cards. Crysis is a perfect example, just look at the screenshots and videos, ALL of which are from DX9 systems. WTF is DX10 REALLY gonna do for GFX in early 2007? Make the characters actually jump out of the screen? Yeah, it's a possibility you may get higher frames with a DX10, but nothing worthwhile all the money, time, and headache that comes with making such a big change. I say wait till DX10 has been around for about a year, then you won't have wasted your money on DX10 launch cards that will be obsolete by the time the new technology is actually worth using.

To CrapfullyCrap, the Radeon X1900 is ATIs BEST card at the minute, Nvidias flagship card doesn't even have it's results posted, but i'm sure it's more powerful than ATIs ultra-spec card. I'm talking about the GeForce 7950 gx2. An extra 5fps in performance is hardly 'smoked' anyway...

Setup: Intel P4 640 3.2ghz, Asus P5ND2-Deluxe Sli mobom, 1gb + 512mb x 2 Kingston value DDR2 RAM 533mhz, 200gb SATA Seagate HD, Windows XP 2, XFX Geforce 7800GT 256mb (factory overclocked to 7800GTX standards) My set up runs the game suprisingly well at nearly 50fps with setings maxed out, but as soon as you tilt that camera to see the horizon and the entire battlefield, fps can go below -10. Scrolling across the map is also sluggish, but for some reason when the camera is still, it runs beautifully. Any body have any idea why the game slows down so much when I scroll the map? I'm thinking maybe it's my RAM config...

This new release date has infuriated me, being a UK gamer, but at least I won't throw away what precious little cash I have left after the x-mas shopping spree for games. On the upside for me, I will spend more time STUDYING at universty than playing my new godly PS3, and then be rewarded after I finish my exams :P. I will never turn to XBOX 360, Microsoft don't deserve such a large peice of the gaming market and the way I look at it, if you have a half-decent PC, there is NO POINT getting an XBOX 360 cuz the PC can do EVERYTHING the 360 can if not more... A lot of titles on the 360 are also available on PC FIRST! Long live the PS3, I hope it owns you all! p.s. In response to the last comment about the PS3 gfx being as good as XBOX1, ARE YOU ON DRUGS?!!! Dude, get your eyes checked.
