I'm disgusted by all the comments here making up justifications like "it has to be all mothers registering for their kids", or "it has to be girls registering for their boyfriends".

Is it so hard to accept women have a mind of their own? WE PLAY VIDEOGAMES TOO, GUYS. IT'S YOUR STUPID SEXIST ATTITUDE THAT MAKES US HIDE OUR IDENTITY WHEN WE PLAY ONLINE.

@skoypidia You know, if you say you hardly find something worthy talking to when you're talking to women.... you're basically shouting to the world that you are very, very unlucky with women. Which doesn't surprise me - I only read two online comments from you and I already don't like you.

@skoypidia I hope for your own sake you're just a troll, and a teenage kid who has had bad luck with women and thus decided to defend his self-pride by claiming women are stupid. Because, I am appalled by the stupidity of your post. Edit: no, I take it back. I've been browsing some comments here, and if I didn't know about how troll-ish and juvenile the gamefaqs population is, I'd worry about the rampant chauvinism going on here. I'm a female gamer, and while the situation for us is nowhere as bad as this article could make it seem, it's still true that videogames tend to often be male-centered. Making a game more a little more appealing to girls doesn't mean "dumbing it down"... hello, women aren't stupid. We just would like the option of playing a female soldier in a multiplayer fps. Or equal narrative quality wether you're male or female in an rpg (luckily, this is already happening, but old rpg weren't like that). Simple, little things like this, that actually make a lot of difference and make us women no longer feel like videogames are "the boys club". Because they aren't.
