I just made a post about changing my video card and wile im looking for new drivers my computer is going much slower than normal. Id like to add that i havent touched anything with the drivers yet so this problem is unrelated to the video card stuff. i do a scan and get all results with the name vundo in it. i looked it up and i have all the symptoms of this trojun. within the past hour my computer went under attack being restarted on its own my firewall was shut off and windows updates was disabled and i cant turn it back on. then the firewall window came up asking if i should trust a program and it didnt give me the option to say no. i tryed geting on Internet Explorer but it didnt work so i shut off the computer and got on my school laptop. My computer just got trashed in a matter of minutes what can i do?

if i want to install a new video card what do i do first? should i get rid of all the old drivers first then put in the new video card and download the new drivers?

Its my dads computer and he asked me to try to fix that for him I couldent figure it out so here I am again. But because all of the drives are not working, how would i go about making a back up?

Also im not sure if this makes a difference, but none of the USB drives work. The keyboard and mouse are Ps/2 or what ever its called.

Im having a problem with all of the drives in my PC. The USB drives, 2 internal disk drives and an external drive all of a sudden are not recognized by the computer. I know they are still connected because when I plug in my Ipod it charges, but i cant sync music to it because the computer says its not there. All of the disk drives eject when I go into my computer and hit eject but if there is a disk in the drive it shows up as empty. They all worked fine at one point. What is going on?

I would try deleting the upper and lower filters in your registry. I had that problem some time ago and that took care of it just fine. However there is also a bug in Nero that used to cause that problem, updating to the latest final release (not beta) could fix it, if not, delete your filters. I beleive the registry key is: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
