lol Wii U still can't play dvds. Thats probably the saddest part about the console. A feature thats been standard for MS and Sony consoles for a decade.JohnnyCageMK

DVDs are ancient tech.

And, as I've always said, Sony included DVD and Blu-Ray tech in their consoles because they not only invented the format, they also make movies. So, if you buy a DVD or Blu-Ray movie, Sony make more money. So it makes sense for them to give you another system to play them on.

Nintendo however. only make games, and it would be stupid for them to give Sony - their rival - money from every console sold.

I think a lot of it also is to do with the fact that 3DS users had to experience months of pro-Vita trolling.

"OMG! What a flop! It's only got one stick! OMG! It's selling so badly even the PSP is selling more. OMG! The launch games suck! It makes people sick! The Vita will blow the 3DS away!"

So, the fact that the Vita is doing EVEN WORSE, despite the second stick and the launch games means payback time.

Yep. I agree with this.

Lately, people use "Hardcore" to refer to games with swearing and blood in. THAT'S NOT WHAT IT MEANS!

Also, if you look at the poll on the site linked in the first post, you'll see that in a survey of 1300 gamers, 69.4% are interested in the Wii U.

What video game console do you want the most?

66% of polled non-3DS owners said the wanted a Vita, 4.9% said they wanted a 3DS. Polls are totally 100% indicative of what is going to happen.

I thought that I was the only one that remembered that poll.

Polls mean nothing.

It's a survey of 1551 Dealnews visitors - a discount store. Hardly the place that early adopters visit.

I'm probably the closest to a Nintendo only fan as you can get - but I do own a gaming PC too.

It's easily doable. On the Wii, I still have at least 30 games to complete, and I have a whole load of DS and 3DS games to keep me occupied. Don't believe me? Just look at my backloggery.

It helps, of course, that I'm not really a fan of First Person Shooters, so I couldn't care less what "amazing" games of that type are on other consoles. I also have very little free time.

The 3DS has better games than the Vita. (Look at Metacritic. The 3DS has 3 games scoring 90% or above, while the Vita has zero.)

The best game the Vita has is Rayman Origins (rated 88%), and you can play the same game on all the main consoles, and it's also coming to the 3DS soon.
