that is true PS3's have a better airflow then most systems, but they do get dusty the most because of the insaficiant air intake. the reason i thought and done this is because i was tired of hot air coming out of my ps3 (plus its in a confined space) and to have a better way of cleaning the dust out with out taking it apart. ive noticed now when i have done this no hot air comes out of my ps3 only cool or warm air, if your electronics stay cooler then they should last longer right.Seriously, coolers ARE NOT NEEDED for PS3s. People just need to TAKE BETTER CARE of their system.

[QUOTE="MOK5"]i have a extra body just in case it happens (i fix ps3, and have a bundence of parts). and i have 3 ps3, so i can afford to do so. the next experiment i am trying out is putting a ps3's hardware in a nice led pc case with liquid cooling.PvtGump8
Forget liquid cooling, go with mineral oil submersion, much cooler IMO. Plus you get bubbles!

You don't need an industrial press to make a clean cut.. Use a dremel to flatten out what you have so far and then melt the rough edges for a split second with a butane lighter.. Cheap simple and relatively efficient.
i did use a dremel, since sony uses crappy plastic its hard to cut/grind big holes. to get the cleannest cut a press cutter is the best and cleanest way. any ways im putting thing black weather stripping around the edges since everybody is complaining.[QUOTE="lucasc130"]OMG, I'm struggling to buy my PS3 and you are cuting your up.Eazy1891
