Did it bother anyone else how that GMC was prominently featured in the intro to the game last night?

Hank Jr's intro to ABC's football games has been a classic NFL staple for years. I found it hard to get pumped up for a hard-hitting, fast-paced gridiron battle when I'm being forcefed the idea of buying a truck. They even included it in the song: "a custom-made party"? WTF!?

Are we coming to an era where football teams not only name their stadiums after razors and ketchup, but put giant pencil company logos at midfield? Will they clutter uniforms to make me want a new sofa? Is money really THAT important?

What do you think? Is this blatant commercialism actually helping the game? Or is it tarnishing the image in the eyes of the American people?

I can't stand Hank Jr's are you ready for some football. What kind of question is that anyway? I'm watching football so yeah I'm ready for some football. I don't watch ABC cause they have good shows. They need to dump his dumb @$$ and get someone or something else. I thought they were streching to the corny with the GMC truck coming out of the mud after showing a running back go down in the mud. Cheesy by my standards.

I actually think they went overboard with the Burger King commercial. That is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. It doesn't make me want to eat at Burger King but it was a hilarious commercial. :lol:Toucanbird

I find "The King" to be disturbing....almost like how clowns are disturbing to most. The commercial itself is pretty genious but that King freaks me out...like when he just shows up in the guys bed, What's up with that?

It is The New York Giants for the past 23 years. The Tuna is my favorite coach even though he is with Dallas now.

Patriots won off 2 plays. Collins fumble, which Dillon scored on a TD, then a Pass Int. Call that led to the Tim Dwight TD I believe. Other than those 2 plays, it was a close game. And the penalties, ohh man...disgustingEscoDaddy14

Actually the Raiders lost because they did not make any half time adjustments. It clearly evident who did their homework on the sidelines and in the locker room during the half. The Raiders got schooled cause they applied the same play calling in the second half. Belichik made adjustments to his defensive scheme during the half to counter the play of Moss and Jordan. During his days with the Giants everyone knows that if you get into Collins' head you can destroy his game. With all the pass Rushing on Collins I was getting winded just watching him trying to escape the pocket. If his Pass Protection was a ship, it would've been the Titanic. They couldn't hold the line and Collins just kept getting swallowed in a sea of Patriot blue.

Sell

Buy or Sell: The Giants should bench Eli Manning.

NYJCMart28

Sell: The Giants invested too much time and effort to just bench him. Besides I feel he will grow into his position this year to be dominant next.

Buy or Sell: Chad Pennington will be hurt yet again this year?

When Lawrence Taylor broke Joe Theismans leg. It just showed how dominant of a player and how compasionate a person he was. As Joe lay on the field, LT motioned for both teams medical staffs to help. He knelt down by Joe as he lay in agony, praying that he would be OK, that was Joe's last game as a player.
