Hey chaps, im in a bit of a pickle.. I'm considering buying a PS3 (PAL 40gig mgs4 bundle) but ive done a bit of searching on the net and the amount of problems people have encoutered with the ps3 is staggering, its really putting me off. such as if dust or moisture get on the laser magnifyer i'll have to send it back to sony for repairs, i've seen quite alot of those ones... or do you think it was just the 20 gig hdd ones?

edit. just checked around a bit. i dont think i will. im in australia and we got f&*%#ed over AGAIN, not suprising. we can only get thr 40 or 60gig hdds, and our 60 gig ones CANT play ps2 games but the NTSC ones can.. how did they manage to f*&k that one up so bad? why cant we have it but they can. they acctually had to MAKE it so we couldnt, so we HAVE to re-buy the games from the store. no i'll get a 360.

umm.....X is in 3d. i dont remember a single 2d scene in that game

its the way they texture, in the towns and stuff there are alot of 2d planes with a texture of 3d depth (its the best way to reduce resource usage), its on reason why X uses a fixed camera.

I've lurked gamespot for about 5 years. I only recently became active when my Internet speed went down and I decided to start reviewing games. I've been playing video games for 18 years (started playing on an Atari when I was 1).

I'm an amateur video/board game designer/developer, story-writer and DUNGEON MASTER. lol
I live in Perth, Western Australia and we have a shortage of game designers so I'll try sell a few of my games soon.
