so getting a 700 watt psu and another 7870 (400 total) is more efficient than getting a 7970? or would i just be pushing it if i xfired with the 600psu
Well I was debating wether or not to crossfire my 7870. Problem being that I only have a 600watt PSU from Corsair. My rig: i5 2500k @ 4.2, H100 push/pull, MSI 7870 @ 1200/1450, and a 200 mm side fan. Could my psu handle another 7870 or should i just save a little more to get a gtx 670, 7950, or a 7970? 7870 250+ new psu 100 total cost around 350 plus tax.
Anyone want to play BF3 Add me please. Origin Ra4MaGz
Ive overclocked my msi twn frz III 7870 to 1200/1450 on stock voltage and i want to see if i cant get a little more out of it. When i go to the afterbuner and try to increase the voltage it won't let me. I've gone to settings and unlocked voltage control but still the same.
thats the thing BUDDY i cant OC because those are IDLE TEMPS
i am using CPUZ and no cables in the way of airflow
ive done it all. ive set the CPU back to STOCK clock. switched the fans around. And STILL the same results
