@with_teeth26: ok cool i'll give them a try. i can find a 5 book collection on amazon, but not a 6 book - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Rising-Collection-Pierce-Golden-Morning/dp/9123881453/ any idea why it would be missing a book?
the ender's game film is terrible btw. absolutely none of the world or character building of the book, so much of the detail that made it compelling is absent and many important portions are either fast forwarded through or skipped entirely. ender is a child prodigy who conquers everything first try. he has no internal struggle. everywhere he goes everyone loves him from the off. the kid who plays ender isn't great and ford and kingsley are poor. wasted £3.50 and two hours of my life renting that from prime video lol
@with_teeth26: started ender's game a few days ago. finished it last night. absolutely brilliant. didn't see that twist coming even though i was increasingly aware the book was getting closer and closer to the end, and there was less and less time to deliver the pay off after all the setup. was googling it last night and saw there's a film adaptation with harrison ford and ben kingsley. i'll be watching that this weekend. thanks again man.
is the red rising second trilogy understandable if you haven't read the first?
thanks for this mate, i'm going on holiday soon so will pick something from your list to read whilst i'm away. noticed you'd not been posting much, glad you're on the mend
