Hi,
Someone ask me a really hard question the other day,
"What is your top 10 games of the year?"
I normally would just say the game I've played the most this year without thinking but this year... I've played so many good games this year I can't think. After 2 days of no sleep & waking up on years day with a weird ass bruise on my arm I finally have an answer, & hear it is.
10. Halo 3: ODST (Xbox 360).
Although Halo 3: ODST multiplayer disc was a rip off but the games campaign is awesome. The campaign narrative is told in a unique way & is nice spin off to the Halo series. Firefight won't stand the test of time but is fun when you have your friends around.
9. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (DS).
I love Kingdom Hearts & after waiting 3 years for another installment of the series, 358/2 Days is a nice way to waste time before Birth by Sleep is release next year. The multiplayer is fun with friends, shame there isn't any online multiplayer.
8. Sims 3 (PC).
I've been a fan of the Sims ever since the being, I spent so much time playing Sims 3 it almost replace my life until some snap me out the almighty appeal of the Sims. Although I haven't got the add-on yet but I'm looking forward to getting it.
7. Fallout 3 Downloadable Content (Xbox 360/ PC).
I know Fallout was a 2008 title but the DLC has being release over the last year & has had its ups & downs but overall its been a enjoy. The best add on for Fallout has to be Point Lookout, its just like the campaign but at a small time slot. I have to say I brought these add-ons on the Xbox 360 & the PC.
6. Battlefield 1943 (Xbox Live Arcade).
I love Battlefield Badcompy & because this arcade was 560 Microsoft Points (£4.00) I couldn't let this sale go by, & what a barging. The game is fun & entertaining its just like Badcompys multiplayer although I have to say the planes controls are so confusing but apart from that its an awesome game.
5. Shadow Complex (Xbox Live Arcade).
Playing Shadow Complex is like going back to my childhood years of playing Meteoroid, this is an awesome arcade game. Collecting all the upgrade is annoying but fun & after two days looking for the last Passkey & finding it in the easiest place *^*% me off.
4. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Xbox 360).
Its Call of Duty... I would of put this higher up but... its nothing special its an amazing game its just the campaign... Its like the writers sat down & watch every action film known to man. The multiplayer is one hell of an upgrade... I love it. The first Modern Warfare multiplayer I through was unfair (If I said that to any of you, tell me to shut up) but I was wrong I was just late into the game to see how amazing this is.
3. Assassins Creed II (Xbox 360).
I love the story telling, the end is confusing if you don't search for the collectibles. I love the era Ubsoft choice for the setting, I know my history quite well & this is one of eras I wanted them to do. The citys are just Wow. This fancies has all ready won my heart but now its a fancies that has won everyone heart.
2. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (PS3).
Its the only PS3 game I have but its so awesome, the storyline is colourful & roll seamlessly going to locations to location. The multiplayer is fun, it a bit odd at first but after awhile it becomes really fun. While its not as deep as Call of Duty it is still an deep multiplayer with player models, perks, clans, & gun upgrades. The theater mode is so deep with being able to set the depth the field, twist the camera, set the lighting, & the fog. This mode is awesome I love making films within games & this makes my job easy.
But my game of the year is... Drum roll...
1. Borderlands (Xbox 360).
This is NOT the best shooter ever & the story is NOTHING special but is the world that GearBox has made is... just... Wow. This game has one of the BEST Co-op for a shooter ever, drop in drop out is awesome. I love the game sets it self to your level so if you level 50 a the beginning of the game all the enemies will be around level 45-50 or if your level 10 around 5-10.
So here you are 10 games that I ramable on about for two days, so yeah... go & get Borderlands.
