Got mine in Jan 07 and it's still kickin' a$$!

I must now take that back, since I got RROD, sent it to MS, and instead of fixing my box, just decided to give me a whole new one instead. Weird, but seems to be doing alright for the the time being. Harumph.

Crackdown is a totally addictive game, and the art style is great for it, it's like an advanced version of the Hulk destruction game, but with way more to do and experiment with. IT's a physics playground for sure. I initially thought the lack of story line would make the game seem stale or void, but it lets you be creative and takes away any restrictions. It's totally worth the full price regardless of the H3 beta.

For a decent price and tons of fun paranoia action, go for Earth Defense Force 2017, totally worth it.

Condemed is quite good and great atmospheric FPS with a good story.

Yeah, I really want to get this too, I've heard nothing but good things about this. Sound super original and uber creepy.

If you still have xbox games to play, play them and re play them. Wait for the 360 to rop in price. But if you can't wait, then get one, you won't be sorry, unless like many of the post-ers you end up with the ring of death. I've had mine for a few months and really dig it. super smoth games, amazing graphics and quick loads. Hudge library of games, etc. I'm not a stickler for all the extras, since all I want it for is playing games.

So far so good.:D

Still lots of great games to play on the original xbox, and many I havne't even finished, plus all the saves and such. Many gmes still not backwards compatible. It's still a great console. I just couldn't hold out any longer to get the 360.

Jumped the gun before i was done.

No regrets.

Often, but not solely. Gotta read the reviews and some forum discussions to get a well rounded idea of what your in for.

Trailers & demos definately help, but to only rely on a point scale, not for a 100% yes or no purchase. Too many factors and every game is different.

I also get info from Teamxbox, xbox addict, Wired, Game Informer and OXM.
