If anybody has asked or knows me they would have found out that I am a current Media Studies student and also going to pursue a career in the Media industry. This being said means that you end up watching random (and many a time forgeign films that are subtitled though, thank god!). I love media and especially the study of films so my teacher lent me a couple of films to watch. The first being "Let the right one in". If you haven't heard of this film already it is the original version of a film called "Let me in". The film was made in Sweden. I won't tell you the plot to give anything away but all I say is you HAVE to watch this movie if you are a horror nut!

The other film that my teacher lent me was called "City of God". She told me that this is her favourite movie of all time, it is a foreign subtitled film etc. I didn't think much of this as, YES! I like a good film but has never really been appealled by foreign styles of movies..oh how I was wrong! This film is amazing, easily one of the greatest films I have seen. Again I won't give any of the plot but if you haven't seen this film already then you MUST see it no matter what. It portrays the truth of gangs so it is very explicit but this shouldn't put you off!
