I'm almost finished with Doom 3, and I like it a lot, despite what most people are saying I don't think it gets repetitive, and my only major complaint with it is the fact that its very linear, but the later levels get less linear, so thats cool.
I can't wait for Fable, although I doubt it will be as cool as It could be. You should be able to explore like you can in Morrowind, but I'm sure there is going to be less freedom than that, and the limitations will be frustrating, but I really think it's a step in the right direction.
I'm also amazed that games like Paper Mario 2 and The Sims 2 are sneaking up on me like they are. I've been staring and Half Life 2 and Fable for so long I'm almost completely forgotten about these other cool games that are on the horizon. I'll be sure to get The Sims 2 before Christmas, but I think Fable will be the game for the season.
Once I get my X800 I'll be destroying Doom 3 on higher difficulty levels, but from what I hear it only takes away ammo, which is not the way I like to play. I like it when the higher difficulty levels give you the same amount or more ammo and health, but make the enemies either tougher or more abundant. Despite this, the gaming world is looking good for me! Although I'd love to hear news on Diablo 3, or Parasite Eve 3
