I've also had this problem with a bunch of games, and until just now was having it in reverse with Wolfenstein The Old Blood - I couldn't STOP following it. I get "An error occurred. Please try again later" every time I try to make changes to its Follow button settings on the Wolfenstein Old Blood 'home' page. What just seemed to work was going to one of the Wolfenstein Old Blood news videos and then using the Follow button in the bottom right area after scrolling down below the video. At least no "error occurred" when I did that just now. With any luck I'll stop getting its updates/notifications too. Hope this idea keeps working, especially for other games like Just Cause for ya.

I'm also experiencing this problem with Firefox v35 and GameSpot. Seems to only happen to me on GameSpot pages with videos, possibly just certain videos. At any rate, I don't seem to have a problem on every single GameSpot page, just most. It's happened to me on both my desktop and laptop, in Windows XP & Vista respectively. So far only happening on GameSpot, no other sites. Fwiw, my hardware acceleration IS enabled in Firefox and it's easier for me to just stop using GameSpot rather than test disabling the acceleration. I imagine GameSpot might have employees that can test the hardware acceleration idea and officially report it as a workaround.

Is there by chance anyone out there who is using Firefox v35 in Windows and can scroll all the way up and down all GameSpot pages, especially video articles, without any issue?

Agreed. The stacks system is next to useless. I've started to compile that kind of user info/data elsewhere and my GS usage has been getting less frequent.

Ditto. This is my first time to GameSpot in about a month, and I only came because I was hoping to find out that this had been fixed.

@jrgoalie33: Awesome! Per your directions I found the Follow button for a game. It's great to at least have something. Before IGN all I could think of were Google Alerts. I especially love that I'm seeing an "Export list to Excel" link. That's a feature I've always secretly hoped for but never dared to dream of GameSpot having. So does IGN send out emails to alert us when our Newsfeed has updated? Hmm, I wonder if I could use ChangeDetection.com somehow.. Anyhow, thanks a bunch for the help.

I'm having the same problem. I haven't received a notification about the games I'm following since the redesign launched. Very frustrating, as the notifications are what keep me checking the site on a frequent basis. Without them, I'm less inclined to visit every day. Thanks.

Same here. Those emailed updates/notifications are the main thing that have been driving me to the site since I signed up in 2003. Now the only thing keeping me coming is to check these forums for signs of hope...

The main reason i use this site is to get updates on the games i follow. With the new website, Gamespot makes it difficult to do this. Instead of having an updates page like the old site, they have nothing. And what is the point of having a following and/or stacks list if i cant easily see the news updates for those games? I really want a Gamespot employee to reply to me. Are you doing anything to resolve this problem or make improvements to the new site? If not, i just created an ign account and sadly will no longer use this site after five plus years of regular usage.

I feel the same way.

Jrgoalie, did you find a way to set up IGN to follow/track games you're interested in, like GameSpot used to before it broke? I also created an account at IGN today to take a quick look, but I couldn't find that feature.

I'm also not receiving any tracked updates by email anymore, nor any notifications on this website. I believe you can see my list of about 500+ tracked games at http://www.gamespot.com/profile/Makana/following/ . This list includes current games such as Star Citizen, World of WarCraft, StarCraft II, Diablo III, and Guild Wars 2. Until the site was redesigned I rarely went more than a day or two without at least one email from GameSpot. Now I haven't received an email (not even the newsletters I was subscribed to, let alone the amazingly awesome tracked updates) since October 9.

Is this a known bug?

I'm having the same problem. More importantly for me is that I'm also not getting any emails with my tracked/followed game updates. Hopefully we'll get some help!

Is anyone still receiving updates by email for games on their Following list? Or anywhere? I'm not even seeing tracked updates in what I think is my GameSpot "feed" page.

My GameSpot Tracked Updates emails have been broken since July 24 (and a little off and on shortly before that too, I think). I really really miss them! So great to see this being investigated, thanks!
