I Did Something I Don't Normally Do...

I bought a game. A console game. I have my brother's PS3 since he doesn't play it anymore and I wanted to give PS All-Stars a go when it first came out. I rented that game.

But yesterday, among all the awesome reviews, I caved and went to my nearest Gamestop and bought Ni no Kuni. It was strange buying a console game. It was strange buying a game. Last game I bought was Black Ops 2 (asked me how long I played that), and before that it was Torchlight 2, which is just too awesome to stop playing.

But a new console game... An offline RPG at that. I tend to lean toward classic RPGs if I want some offline fun. Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Phantasy Star, series that are tried and true. It feels very awkward to play a current gen offline RPG. I am not sure what to make of it or the game just yet as I didn't have time to dive into it yesterday. I expect great things from this game and hope it becomes an instant classic for me. One of those games I can revist for years to come.

I guess what I am saying is, I am a gamer, who really doesn't buy games, especially console games. I find consoles huge wastes of money when I have a far superior machine in my computer rig that can play the same games at higher quality. But I guess sometimes, you have to look beyond, and realize that every once in a while, an exclusive will come out that will make you eat your words and fork over your 60$.

Guess I'll have a review of the game up once I get into it.
