Video Game Violence

Ok just getting to the point I am not one to discredit violent games especially FPS games which are among my favorite games of all. I have just heard so much about how violence in video games is teaching our children to do vile and obscene things such as kill, vandalize, burglarize, and swear. Don't get me wrong there are some pretty obscene games out there that should have never even been thought of. But the point is, don't blame the children's misfortunes and actions on the games that they play but in the fact the parents lack of responsibility. I hear so much these days about how parents are angry at the people that developed these games because their child has done something that was shown or done in the game. But when the parents are asked as to how their children obtained these games they respond with "I bought it for him/her." It's not the developers fault it's the parents fault for buying the game for the child/children in the first place. The ESRB has done so much to help with making sure that children only play the games that are intended for their age. Don't get me wrong I am sure there are parents out there that love their children and are responsible enough to make sure that they never get their hands on such violent games. I also hear about how teenagers are influenced by these violent games. If you ask me, if you are a teenager and you are going to do something that is against the law just because you saw someone do it in a game you were playing you are stupid and definitely not mature enough to handle the real world.
