@MoondogCCR: They're not all dumb dinosaur-type machines. Why would you make a generalization like this without having played the game? That'd be like someone watching Rogue One for the first time and saying "all these characters will suck because none of them are in the original trilogy".
One of the best games I've played in a long time. Amazing voice acting, beautiful graphics, and I was never bored of fighting machines. One thing this article skirts over is HOW GOOD the story is! The story made me want to play all day and night without ever turning off my PS4. One of the few games I've ever played where I was actively looking for every detail or voice message I could find and listen to, just to get a better sense of the lore and history of the world. Amazing.
63 reviews of this game. Gamespot gives it the (tied for) 2nd worst score. I understand that an 8 is still a great score, and there's a need to be consistent, but...
@Roxas029 Nope, I thoroughly enjoyed FFXIII. Music was fantastic (Masashi Hamauzu, of course), characters were enjoyable (sans Vanille), graphics were incredible, story and gameplay were both very solid. Just started playing FFXIII-2, I've heard it's very good.
Don't agree with the opinions about Avatar...the music in that got me emotionally high. But I am glad to see Yuna's Sending from FFX, one of my favorite CGs ever and a great example of music building up your emotions.
@rebelious - I completely agree. All I was noticing was that one system's graphics were a shade lighter. I actually thought the PS3 looked better in some of these comparisons.
Heavy Rain looks awesome. Of course I want to see FFXIII more than anything else, and I'd really like to see how Rock Band on the PS3 turns out. And Bioshock was so incredible. I agree with lance435 in terms of how I don't want to see Bioshock 2 have a huge multiplayer function. I thought single player in the first was enough, and it really kept you focused on how amazing Rapture and the story were.
