That is a great point. The sales at the end of May are great for TVs.
As for the other poster above stating that you will only notice a difference from 720p to 1080p on a screen over 50 inches, That is a VERY FALSE statement. I have seen all the "proof" on sites like cnet but when you own a high end Sony 720p and a high end Panasonic 1080p you can really see first hand the difference. I used Planet Earth as my test disk and the 1080p blows the sony out of the water.
I hope your game is already 100% paid in full. If not you may want to do so before hand. As for me, I'm 100% paid for but picking it up Tuesday afternoon.
