No Marcus PSP reference intended. Now that we have seen the 3DS sporting graphics around the best of last generation consoles, I think the PSP2 needs to be pretty impressive to stay relevant. I don't think simply offering XBOX quality graphics or marginally improving over 3DS graphics will cut it. Here is a list of features I would like to see in the PSP2. -graphics exceeding Wii, and more comparable to current generation consoles on a small screen -PS2 downloads on PSN -Higher resolution screen What would you like to see in a PSP2?
Let's see...3DS renders games in glasses-less 3D and has some great graphics for a handheld. PSP2...wait, has this even been announced yet? I'll go with 3DS LOL.
I'm going to say sub-Wii in terms of polygon performance, but possibly around Gamecube level or a little better. This doesn't even take into account the advanced shaders the 3DS has implemented, and the fact that this is all running in 3D which requires significant horsepower. So in essence, I think we will be seeing games around the best of what last generation had to offer, and possibly surpassing Wii if developers choose not to implement 3D. So I see it as a last gen + handheld.
That's not proof at all. It is a well known fact that motion controls are hated by a lot of gamers. I honestly never understood why they were so controversial.
I'd say the chances are pretty decent. The contrrols look to be the refresher this series needs. Skyward Sword is my most anticipated game on any platform.
I'm pumped for this game. It's obvious that Activision is a greedy company, and that they are reviving this game for the money, but it looks like a decent reimagining.
I don't understand why PS3/360 fans argue over which console offers the best visuals, when the PC is already significantly in the lead when it comes to pretty pictures. I think it's a moot point if you are going to obsess over graphics from consoles, you might as well get a PC.
