Video review plans shelved for now!

I am sorry to announce that it seems I will not be able to do video reviews at all, or at least for now. I orginally said I would only do them for PC games as I do not have a camera sutible for recording directly off a TV screen. When I film off a TV screen with my current camera, the quality is not very good. No suprise really, since it's really old so it's not advanced as far as the more modern cameras. Now it turns out that the screen capture software on my computer doesn't work well at all with games because it slows the performance down massivley, and then you end up with a terrible movie. This is down to two reasons I believe. First off, the screen capture software is not that good. Secondly, my computer isn't that good. My PC does work, but it's not a gaming PC in anyway. It's not even a top of the range PC...to be honest it's pretty mediocre. That, and it dates back to around the year 2000, which in the computer age is a very, very long time ago. Dont worry though, as I am not giving up. Just the other day I noticed I had a lot of money in the bank I never noticed I had. So I am going to buy myself another camera, one which is much more modern and has much better picture quality. Truth is, I hate PC games because of the problems they cause with lag. Home consles meanwhile, do not suffer from this at all. You dont even have to install them. You just stick them in the tray and go. I've never thought PC games have been worth the hassle and since I buy loads more consle games than PC games it means I'll be able to do more video reviews. So this isn't to much off a bad thing. Anyways, I'm off for now...

Bye,

Craig

Sega Rally review and photo's up...sort of!

So here I am, now at level 3. This means I am now able to upload my Sega Rally review for the PC (My first ever review). So thats exactly what I have done. However I have uploaded it as Sega Saturn review for what I believe are very valid reasons. First off, the Sega Saturn version of Sega Rally gets much more views on this website than the PC. This means that more people I likely to see my review. Secondly, since both PC and Saturn versions are exactly the same this shouldn't be a problem. You can read it here...

Also I have uploaded my Sega Rally screenshots that I took using screen capture software on my computer. Although originally I said I had 95 photos, this has been narrowed down to 13...by my stupidity. When I was saving them onto my computer I saved most of them in the wrong bitmap format. This caused them to loose all their colour depth and quality, rendering them totally useless. Still, I remembered to save some in the correct format, so I have uploaded them here...

There is no point in me uploading the remaining three photos since they are not interesting anyway. All three of them are photos of menu screens.

I will soon film a video review for Sega Rally and upload it, though I'm not entirely sure when. Somedays the game works on my computer, other times it works but not properly. Kinda makes it difficult to film...today seems to be one of those days where it wants to be awkward. Anyway, keep checking my pgae for that. I promise you next time I shoot screenshots I will check what format I save them in carefully first, so this does not happen again. I'm very annoyed with myself for making that mistake because usually I'd check anyway. Of course I was so busy rushing them because it was late at night and I had to wake up early for school in the morning. Let that be a lesson to you, never rush things. Because then stuff like this happens.

Thanks for reading,

Craig

My Sega Rally review!

I have just finished typing up my review of Sega Rally on Microsoft Word. Soon as I reach the level required to post reviews, which is level 3 and I'm halfway through level 2 now...check back here in my blog as I will post the link to my review. It's rather exciting since its my first review. I am hoping to upload a video review of it sometime aswell. However I can only do video reviews of PC games because I cant film good quality videos or still images of my TV screen. Also, I am hoping to upload my Sega Rally screenshots aswell. So remember to check back here tomorrow for those updates. I'll post them as a new blog post! :-)

Leveling up...PART 2!

What the heck! Turns out you can hardly do anything on this god dam website, until you reach level 3. You cant make reviews, you cant upload videos or photos (pretty much buggers my plans to upload my Sega Rally photo's at the moment) ...and oh, do you want to make a union. Forget it pal! I bet you cant even post blogs...oh yeah, whoops! Anyway, at least it doesn't take too long to level up. Now my rant it over, I'll just get lost... Getting lost, Craig

Just started, leveling up...

Hi guy's! I have just started up on this website today. To be honest, I was really hoping to post my review of Sega Rally for the PC as my first ever. However it turns out that to do that you have to be at least a level 3, so I've been spending pretty much my whole evening trying to level up. It's got to be said, this whole business of leveling up...really tedious! Laters, Craig
