My Kino Der Toten Strategy; Describing how to advance into the later orunds(50+.) My tips will keep you one step ahead of the endless hoards of bone crunching zombies.

KINO DER TOTEN STRATEGY <<(Click to see Original blog written by Golden Virginia)

Lobby(Rounds 1-5)

The aim at the beginning is to build up your cash/points, while saving ammo. This is done by combining the use of the pistol and knife. Shoot the first wave of zombies, four times each and then knife them when they reach the boarded window. On the next wave, double the shots and use the knife again. Repeat until you reach round five, head upstairs and go straight through to the foyer room.

Lobby: What Not To Do

Run around like a headless chicken.

Waste ammo.

Steal another players zombies.

Buy a weapon off the wall(not needed)

Standing too close to the windows.

Leaving windows open.

Opening doors too early.

The Foyer(rounds 5-15)

When you first enter the foyer you're presented with three options; buy the shotgun, the MP40, or get them both. The shotgun gives hardly any points/cash, but it's very powerful. The MP40 tends to run out of ammo quickly unless you're going for head-shots. So, I go with the third option and use them both together, which works very well. Build points with body shots using the MP40 and hold them back from entering the room with the shotgun. Keep the dressing-room door shut at all times while in the foyer, because no one can deal with zombies flooding in from both ends. Two players cover the windows down stairs, while the other two watch the upstairs window and stairwell. Avoid moving back up through to the lobby, it's unnecessary and often results in game-over for everyone. If the stairwell becomes too crowded, the two players covering downstairs should quickly help out with shotguns, grenades and head-shots before returning to their original spots. When you're ready to move through to the theatre stage, get a crawler. CRAWLER; A zombie that's had its legs blown off with a grenade. It allows everyone to have a short break between each round to replenish ammo and gives your eyes a rest(which I think is important).

Foyer, What Not To Do

Move back through to the lobby area.

Ignoring other players when their in trouble.

Getting yourself cornered.

Not covering your window.

Opening more doors.

Theatre Stage(rounds 15-20+)

Do you know the biggest mistake you can make on kino der toten that limits everyone from being able to reach higher rounds? Switching the power on too early. That's when crawler zombies(covered in nova gas)start to appear and then it becomes really difficult to save points/cash up. And overwhelming the place with extra zombies too early really is not a smart move to make. Enter the theatre stage with your new friend(the crawler you got from the foyer) and buy claymores from the wall. Keep the single door at the back closed, and don't turn the power on. While one person covers the back window on theatre stage, the other three face the main door(you just come through)and side window. This will now become your next hold-out point. Claymores On The Theatre Stage One player using claymores is pretty useless, but everyone using them is a great strategy to use on kino der toten and I'll explain why. The reason they're so effective is because of the sheer number of them you can lay down at once, if everyone is involved. Four players with two claymores each, that's eight placed down every round. Keep zombies back from entering the stage area and you can have over 40+ claymores out after ten rounds, including extra you pick up from dropped perks. Claymores become ineffective after rounds 30+, so you should utilise their worth earlier on. When the dogs appear, everyone should make their way back to the foyer to deal with them so all the claymores are not destroyed.

Theatre Stage: What Not To Do

Placing Claymores too close to one another. Spread them out far enough apart so they don't set one another off.

Not boarding up the back and side windows after and during every round(big mistake).

Wandering into the dressing room will get you into trouble(doing it in real life will as well).

Switching the power on(Don't do it too early).

Kino Der Toten Teleport(rounds 20+-40+)

Once becoming overwhelmed by zombies, turn on the power and get a juggernaut(found in the theatre). Keep around the stage area and use the teleport as often as possible. The teleport on kino der toten gives random perks from rooms and using it twice each round gives you better chances of picking up those extra perks. Keep your points on the rise and don't upgrade every weapon that you use.

kino Der Toten Alleyway(rounds 40+50+)

Open the back door on the theatre-stage and make your way around to the alleyway. Leave the back door closed that leads back to the lobby. One person guards the back window and the rest look back down the alley. This is the spot on kino der toten where you should try to hold out for as long as possible. Once the zombies start to rush through they will be all lined up in a straight line, allowing for everyone to get head shots. Keeping the back window boarded is very important because when they get through it's nearly impossible to recover from. Everyone should have upgrded weapons by now, especially ray-guns and the thunder gun is very imprtant for this spot. Extra Tips for Kino Der Toten At the end of every round you should acquire a crawler and board all the windows. Buy all your perks, juggernaut, quick revive and speed cola. Double tap route beer drains ammo so it should only be used in the later rounds on kino der toten. Keep moving around the map in a circular motion and always keep moving in the same direction as everyone else. The traps drain your points so use them sparingly. Use the symbols(monkeys) only when you have to, don't waste them.
