It can make a difference. Some routers that opporate on the regular 2.4GHz band will run into interference (while other, and often more expensive ones run on the 5Ghz band). I would recommend a Netgear router, and go with at least a SuperG. There are ones specifically for gaming, but from what I can tell, the only difference is that they allow for easier set up of port forwarding and support better bandwidth control.

400GB is a lot.  And I'm guessing you're looking at one of the DVD recorders that also acts as a DVR.  I wouldn't spend the huge amount for a 400GB recorder.  It all depends on how much you are going to have sitting around.

If you hook everything up with Monster cables compared to generic cables, there's a difference, but usually only  in your analogue signals.  It really depends on what you're looking for.  You can spend a lot of money on cables if you want.  However, you can usually find some pretty well priced cables that still use the gold connections.

Depends on the DVD player.  Also, I'm not too familiar with Movie Maker, but you should be able to encode it to something like MPEG.  And then just use DVD burning software, like Nero, to burn it to a movie DVD.  Make sure to use a DVD-R for optimal compatibility and to finalize the disc afterwards.

What kind of HDTV?  If it's projection, then it is simply the projection.  Some older LCDs will have a noticeable blur, but it shouldn't be an actual delay.  Also, make sure you're not going through a TiVo or something like that.  Just go directly to your television.  The type of cable you use should only affect the picture and audio quality.

If it's a Samsung projo, it should have a "game mode," that will help with that delay.  Otherwise Guitar Hero should have callibration if I remember correctly.

If it's bluetooth it's 2.4Ghz, and from what I've read Bluetooth sweeps the entire band and will often times 'cause an interference with wireless networks and the like.  Although being littlerally an average of a meter away from my wireless router, I have yet to have a problem with my Bluetooth keyboard.

Ah, so he's using it to hook a console up to the monitor.  Alrighty.  Haha.  Yep, dmanrevived is right.  That's exactly what you would do.

It also could have been that a game wasn't set up correctly or a program.  If you adjust the settings of the drivers to override the refresh rate in all programs and games to be something the monitor can handle, then you lower the risk of such a problem happening.

EVGA makes very good cards.  I'd recommend going with that (even if it didn't have the rebate).

What are you hooking up?  I guess I don't see why you would use this with a monitor.  Usually you'd use it for something like an iPod to hook up to a stereo system (if it doesn't support an iPod dock or a 1/8" cable).
