Right, ever get the feeling where games get to the point of feeling routine? Some games defeat this by having custom content and so on, but, irrecably, the gameplay core remains the same. One game that has done this perfectly, is Starcraft. Have you ever played a "Use Map Settings" game, I'm sure if you owned the game as long as I have you've done it a million times already. So yeah, to those who don't know, A UMS game is basically starcraft with a new set of rules and objectives. In some cases it may be a madness (where you get units that spawn every second or so), or it may be an RPG (A game where you control one souped up unit and must defeat hordes of enemies whilst going on a quest.) So yeah, quit whatever your doing, and go join a UMS game, a surprise lies within every room.

A Great Game Gone Long Gone.

So, I was sitting here with absolutely nothing to do, until I was inspired to play one of the greatest team games of all time. It wasn't Unreal Tournament, nor was it Call of Duty, it was, the precursor to Counter-Strike. Yes! I'm talking about Team Fortress Classic. Before De_dust, and Source, we were all nade spamming battlements on 2fort, or doing that mad dash to the gas chamber on rock2. So yeah, just felt like reliving old times, and for the first time in a while, I felt like I was on a team. You were being a teamplayer even if you were going off and rambo'ing. Anyways, just felt like leaving abit of a game that has long been forgotten, until it is remade by the FortressForever team, god bless them. Anyways, give it a while again, and you'll feel glad you did, because I don't know whcih direction Multiplayer Gaming is headed for now, but I know that Team Fortress is one that has to live on.
