According to a Wall Street Journal Article i read a few months back, despite having the lowest sales last gen, nintendo made more profit off of the GC than Sony's entire electronics division, and Microsoft is yet to make a profit off of its gaming division

so i'm guessing nintendo

[QUOTE="GarchomPro"] So because not every1 plays Bioshock on PC it means the the game is no longer multiplat? Face it, Bioshock, Gears, Lost Planet and eventually Halo 3 are all Multiplatform games that can be found on the PCcolmusterd28

ok Im gonna say this one more time for your feeble mind to comprehend... LISTEN UP!!! I don't care about how you label a game... multiplat exclusive, I could care less... YOU DON"T GAME ON YOUR PC SO STOP CLAIMING YOU DO!!! thats all....

...But i do... sure it's a piece of crap based off of todays standards but i still play it at least as much as any other consoles...

Yes, the last generation did indeed leave nintendo penniless, after all they were the only one of the three console makers to turn a profit in their games division...

and Uncle_Uzi, i believe that it was meant that merely the majority of SW goers at least own a Wii, they might not be sheep, but they still own a wii (or DS i suppose)

I'm not surprised, i read about how much tweaking/play testing was put into the game and i figured it would get a hype boost as well...

Is it correct to assume that if my computer can run a game's demo it can run the game at the same level?

So a few weeks ago i attempted to uninstall a game on my laptop but couldn't find the CDs, it was late and i wasn't thinking clearing so i ended up just deleteing the game's folder on my hardrive (i've since emptied the recycle bin). Now i inexplicably got the urge to play th game again, unfortunatly i now cannot uninstall the game properly nor can i reinstall it since the laptop thinks it is still installed. I have given up hope of being able to play the game again but figure it doesn't hurt to ask here if there is anything i can do to get the game running again.

Ok, i've got one: I just got a new (non-gaming) laptop with only integrated graphics, on a whim i checked out what it could (or rather couldn't) run on srtest.com. to my surprise, the laptop met Half Life 2's reccomended requirements. the laptop is a thinpad with a 2.0 Ghz dual core processor, 2 gb of RAM and the integrated graphics dealie is a mobile intel 945GM express chipset family and has 36 MB of Ram. Can my laptop actually play halflife 2?

So i'm thinking about upgrading my (crappy) PC that i've had for about 5 years. However, i'm no really sure how feasible this would be or if i might as well just buy a new PC and start from scratch. It is a Dell dimension 4550, i've managed to figure out the following specs w/ srtest.com.

-Intel Pentium 4 CPU (1.8 ghz)

-It started with 256 mb of RAM but we added another 256 for 512MB DDR SDRAM @ 266 Mhz

-NVIDIA Geforce4 MX 420 (64MB)

- Samsung CD-R/RW SW-240B CD drive

-about 150 GB of memory between both drives, about 100 GB of that free

Obviously, i'd need to update just about everything; i'm thinking of spending in the 1500 dollar range, were i to buy a new PC i'd most likley be looking for an intel dual core @ about 2 ghz, 2 GB of Ram, and a Geforce 8800 of some sort. How do i detirmine if a given part could successfully hook up to my PC? I really don't know all that much about building computers so any advice would be appreciated. Also how would i access any other relevent spec info on my computer?
