Small update v2.0

'Ello.

Time for me to post another update. The game that I had followed for such a long time, Darkfall, proved to be a complete ferkin' failure, I'm actually glad that I didn't manage to put my hands on the game. The busy times in my RL swept over, so I joined my guild's official chapter in another MMORPG, the Lord of the Rings Online to be precise. It's probably the best MMORPG that I've ever played, I love the mechanics, gameplay and crafting system in it. It's also very immersive, so if you haven't tried it then I suggest that you do it, you don't have to be a Tolkien freak to appreciate it.

Another game that I bought recently ( one hour ago ) is Killing Floor, L4D was a dissappointment for me due to it's arcadey and repetitive gameplay and the lack of content was also really frustrating. Killing Floor seems much more ambitious and tactical, and that's the kind of zombie-game that I've been looking for. It supports up to 6 players on the same server, so me and my guildies are going to have blast in the following days I predict. Anyhow, I'm off for now, take care.

Ciao!

Small update& Mount and Blade

Oh snap, been a while since I wrote an entry in my blog ( not that anyone reads it, but I hate myself for my lazyness sometimes ).

My life has been rather turbulent nowadays, was going to purchase a game called Darkfall:Online, but financial issues and my school made it impossible for me. It sucks since I feel like I'm turning my back to the members of my clan ( I apologize to all members of the Red Blades of Manderian who reads this, but I can't play an MMORPG currently due to my RL.). I'll still buy the game, but it will have to wait.

A sligthly more positive thing is that I've finally found a game which has got me hooked ( no, it's not Manhunt, I just bought it because it was cheap and I was bored. ). The name of that game is Mount&Blade, a sandbox 3rd person tactical medieval RPG. The graphics might look like crap and the animations are stiff, but no other game can beat the gameplay of it right now. I'd like to recommend it to everyone who likes RPGs and want to try out something sligthly more difficult and different.

And that's everything for now, thanks for reading and take care!

GTA:Collection

I just got the GTA collection from Steam and I has to say that it is worth every penny!

It has got 3 of my favourite games in it ( Vice City, San Andreas and GTA3 ) plus GTA and GTA 2 and it only cost me 35 euros! If you like 2 of the games that I mentioned then I encourage you to buy it from Steam and get some other games as extras, I was first only going to buy Vice City and San Andreas but this package costs as much as those two game and it sure has more content in it, definately worth the money!

A random mix of thoughts and such

Hi there.

Well, since this is my first blog post then I might aswell do a brief introduction of myself.I'm Maxton (that's not my real name ofcourse, it's just the nickname that I usually use in the games that I play ). I live in Finland and I'm attending to college since I'd like to become a journalist later on. My favourite type of games is probably RPGs but I do enjoy a good FPS, such as S.T.A.L.K.E.R or The Ship.

A game that I'm really looking forward to right now is Fallout 3, I'm a long-time fan of the Fallout serie and this one seems to be really good if you take a look at all the positive reviews that it has got. A friend of mine got it last week and he says that it's bloody awesome.

Well...what more, nothing I guess, will write if something interesting comes up ( feel free to read my reviews and such in the meantime ). Peace out
