I rated the Single Player at 6.5. But the multiplayer, I say 8.7. At times it has the feel of my all time favorite series -- Rainbow Six, Rogue Spear, etc. especially in close combat. Too bad they didn't have chat available duirng the intermission. That would have duplicated the game as in Rogue Spear.

I thought MW2's plot was absurd, unrealistic. How about this one. Take up where Al Jabar's men set up an ambush an capture several rangers, then move them to their allies in Russia. Have the rangers work to relocate then throw in all the gunfights and attacks we saw in MW2. That's more plausible. Which makes the game more realistic, and the battles more urgent. The more I think of the plot in MW2 the more rediculous it seems. I had to go to Wikipedia to get the storyline straight, that's how confusing Infinity Ward made it.

I completed MW2 last night.. Then I knew why I rated it so low. The plot is absurd and confusing. The Wiki plot description helps. What made oriignal Modern Warfare engaging was that it sprung right out of today's headlines. It was both realistic in plot and graphics. MW2 is an absurd storyline. It's like playing in a fantasy world. How could an American cause the airport massacre and set off a thermonuclear war? How could an American General manage to conduct a coup unnoticed? Who's in charge of the military if Shepherd was now a traitor? This is why I like FPS. The realism. It isn't in MW2

You gotta luv the power of the gamer. This game is getting trashed as it deserves. Not that it's a bad production. No, it's that we expected much more from the gang who did the original, which was a gaming masterpiece. What were they thinking planning this game. If they had just copied the original with new maps and a character or two from the original, I would be satisfied. But this game seems to have been created by another team. A team that tried and failed to even approach the basics of the original --- great moving plot, arc, characters, continuity, timing and pace.
