I don't think i am. I do but an indecent amount of DVDs, but i always watch them, and i know that my friends wouldn't be interested, so i don't bring it up in conversation.
I hate LOL. When i text i always type in proper English (note that i didn't right TXT). I just thing people should be more thoughful when they speak. For me, lol can kil a conversation just as fast as ok can
One thing that also has to be taken into account is which form of entertainment you prefer. Are you a video game person, or are you a movie person? It seems pretty obvious that you are a video game person, and would prefer playing a game over watching a movie. I, on the other hand, have a hard time focusing on video games for long (believe it or not), but can watch movies all day. Some games, of course, i fall in love with, and want to play nonstop, but thats often not the case. Also, we are , in my opinion, living in a cinematic ADD world. People mainly see the latest action movie or bad comedy or whatever, which usually doesn't have much of a story, and rarely lasts more than 90 minutes (the comedys at least, action movies often pass the 2 hour mark due to their big action climax.) So, (in my opinion) are minds aren't use to it. however, i feel movies SHOULD tell a story, and take their sweet time doing it, because it's hard ho really care about a character in a 90 minute picture. Do you think the Lord of The Rings or The Dark Knight would have been better if it was shorter? Two of the most celebrated films of the past twenty-five years are quite long. Both are in the book "1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die): The Best Of Youth (2006, 6 hours long), and Shoah (1985, 9 hours long)
