I really want to start working on making mods on Valve's Source engine. I'm looking for pretty much anything that can help get me started: Online FAQs, Books, anything. Also, if any of you have any experience with working in the Source Engine, any tips or tricks would also be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance :D
Those were on a disc. Wii could have Disc demos but not downloadable ones without a HD.

Actually, the Xbox did have demos that were available for download via Xbox Live which would be downloaded onto your Xbox's Hard Drive and kept until deleted. The Wii however, while having more power than the Xbox, lacks the same kind of Hard Drive, and only has a dramatically smaller bit of RAM used for game saves and a few Virtual Console games. Just because a piece of technology is more powerful than another, doesn't necessarily mean that it has the same kind of storage as well.
Edit: I do feel that the Wii should support some sort of demo channel, which would support (at the very least) available Virtual Console games.
Unfortunately it seems that Halo 3 might just put the nail in the coffin for me. I can't stand how all these stupid noobs think they are so great because they can go totally rambo and get a few lucky headshots. Granted, I don't to have them able to contend at all whatsoever, but thats what the handicaps are there for.
"From the description, it will take nearly an entire clip to take down an opponent that has a full shield with MA5C fire alone or about seven rounds to take down an enemy who has had their shield dropped." -IGN
An entire clip to take out a SINGLE person!? You would think if these terrans were so smart as to put togeather these amazing cyborgs with powerful sheilding systems, they would make some decent weapons that could actually take them out with a reasonable amount of supplies. Anybody else with me on this one? I know that everyone like their FPSes their own way, but I don't want to see Halo 3 ending up to be another noob-fest like Halo 2 was.
