Tom's Games has a nice review article of the E for All expo. Some may not have ever heard of it as Gamespot is not covering the expo for some reason, but it is a new convention that was created from E3's changes from a massive media circus to a small business type summit. E for All is supposed to be an E3 that the general public has admittance to.

It is the first year for the expo and here is an article discussing it.

Metal Gear Solid for PS1 hands down man, what is wrong with you? The only reason MGS2 made it anywhere was because they tossed in the first mission with Snake and released it as the demo. If I had known I was going to be playing as a scrawny blonde haired boy I would not have bought the game. I played through it hoping for the next time I could play as Snake.

I think I replayed the Metal Gear Solid demo 3463214643 times just waiting for it to come out.

Alright, thank you for all of your help. This thread greatly helped me make my decision.

I just bid on a PS2 on ebay. Comes with 4 games too.

Oh wow, I remember hearing that the PS3 had all of the physical components of the PS1/PS2 which is what made it expensive. So the 80gb system is a way for sony to cheapen manufacturing... I've experienced slow compatibility upgrades with the Xbox 360, took quite awhile for games to be compatible. and in a lot of cases for the sake of newer versions of games, they weren't ever made compatible. I'm going to keep trolling around, but I may own a 60gb ps3 by the end of the day.

GEt the 60GB while you can. It's actually the better of the two systems even though it has less HDD space. Why? you ask. Well the 60GB has hardware installed called the Emotion Engine. This allows you to play PS1 and PS2 games right off the disk with no need to install or emulate the games. The 80GB version doesn't have this and must emulate the games.ScottEFresh

I was in Best Buy yesterday and saw two huge stacks of Playstation 3's. One was a pallete worth of 60gb systems priced at 500, the other a pallete of 80gb systems at 600 dollars. Now, here is where I need help in my decision and why I'm having a hard time deciding on my own. There is not one game out right now for the PS3 that I have an interest in, Heavenly Sword looks nice and is out soon, but it is Dynasty Warriors from what I've exampled. I need to catch up on some games that I've missed from the PS2 - God of War I/II, Devil May Cry 3, and Final Fantasy 12. Can the PS3 handle these games with backward compatibility? If it cannot play all of these games, it just doesn't make sense for me to buy it right now.

[QUOTE="SuperKnightX"]LOL Xbox360 version 3 is already out SuperKnightX

please show me the xbox 3 and not the new remodled one i wanna see the new xbox 3 were is it and dont dissapoint me.

There is core, premium and zephyr

Zephyr being a product of M$ foolish insecurity

"We don't need HDMI, no games will run in 1080p" - "HDMI FTW"

Still no standard HDD or Wifi plus XBL costs - sets you back over $200 plus the $479 for Zephyr

Lemmings areg etting milked BADD lol

The added HDMI would add better support for the HD-DVD player extension. True 1080 resolution.

actually i am kind of bumbed becuase this was one of the reasons I was going to get a ps3 and now I am not going to , and i will not get to play mgs4 and no i am not paying 600 bucks for one gameabattoir_blues
I'm in the same boat as you bud, I hope Konami gets on the logic train and releases MGS 4 multiplatform. MGS 2 was eventually released to Xbox, it isn't completely out there.

An April release is the most unrealistic part of this that I can imagine.  I vouch for this being extremely bogus.  Microsoft is a Hype Machine, in no way would they release this thing in a matter of weeks without announcing it.  If it is indeed coming out in April, it is not until April 2008.
