also if you read this again and care to answer, is there lag when video games upscale from 750p to 1080p? ive heard that 360(which is what i have) has upscaling and the ps3 dosent, whats that basicly gonna mean for me?
great read, thanks for the info much appreciated. that answerd some questions i had and i deffinitly agree and have noticed the motion blur. im honestly kind of leaning towards plasma, as long as there is no glare i feel its kind of easier on the eyes. and if what you said about the refresh rate and the ghz is true then id kinda feel like a fool for not getting that lol
hey this is one of the only threads i could find on this subject, my question is 42" 750p Plasma tv vs 42" 1080p LCD. ive heard that plasmas sometimes get "burn in" but ive met people who have had their plasma tvs for a long time with no problems. so my question is really almost plasma vs lcd... can anyone give me some good info?
Edit: Also the plasma has a "gaming mode" not sure if its 120 ghz, but the lcd does not have a gaming mode and it is 60ghz.
ive been wondering the same thing, ive had my horizontal since ive gotten it, and it was fine for almost 3 years but i did finally get the RRoD (only had like 3 months left on the warranty) and now im trying to decide but currently its still sitting down. my reasons were look at the all of the vents, the 2 vents on the ends of the system (or the sides) are the biggest, while the other 4 are smaller (2 on the top 2 on the bottom(if you look at it while its sitting)), 1 of the 2 biggest vents is coverd mostly by the hard drive so why put the other vent flat on the ground blocking it? another thing to consider is if a game comes loose in the 360 while its sitting down you have a CHANCE of your game still working, but if a game comes loose in a vertical 360 chances are the disc is ruined and you have a CHANCE of the disc ruining somthing within the system. ive heard a handful(and only a handful) of people say that standing the system up gives it better airflow but unless the things that are overheating are on the bottom of the 360 i think the biggest vent would give it better air flow. plus if you look at the vents in both positions when the system is sitting down the 2 vents on the bottom arnt COMPLETLY blocked because the system archs towards the middle, where as if you stand it up the side vent(the biggest vent) is almost completly flat on the ground which would block it more then the 2 vents i just described.
it is an awsome game, the single player was really kool even tho the ww2 clips get kinda old after awhile. but honestly i think the online lacks appeal.. i dident pay money to shoot zombies and after playing CoD4 the weapons in this game are just too dated, and i know thats biased but thats the way i feel about it. half of CoD4's appeal to me was that its so realistic and relatable to whats going on in our military today, hence "modern warfare".
