i play maybe once every 2 weeks or im just online every other time. Only a couple of mates play lan with me so much easier now i got a laptop. L4d is and command and conquer red alert 3 and kanes wrath are the best
cant go past left 4 dead it runs on my crappy laptop
go with serious sam, i cant really think of anything else those comps cant really play newer games
Best rts lan is Command and conquer: red alert 3 and cnc: 3 kane wrath. Red alert has full coop campagin and cnc kanes wrath only can do co op skirmish but that is the best rts lan it never get boring.
For fps try l4d, my fav and boderlands is really awesome coop takes ages to finish. also cod 5 world at war is good coop

i would try looking at Dell.com.au and the dell inspirons they start at $800 thats alright laotop or you could go for a studio 15 thats my next 1 im ordering its $1920 and it a 2.53 GHz dual core 500gb Hdd 4 GB ram and ATI 4570 more than enough power for what your looking for. i have a great dsktop comp that i game on so i wont be needing much power but im getting this just in case i got to mAtes house to play LAN CNC3 i brought a underpowered 1 that now regret and wish i got a better 1 coz i like this more more everthing exept gaming dontmake the same mistake
Yea i use my Keyboard + mouse on FPS, crysis ect and rts like CNC3 and stuff like prototype but i use Xbox wired control for stuff like transforemers 2 which has absolutily crap controls you have to hold ctrl and shift and then let go of shift while still holding ctrl just to jump it easlier just pressing A
Every just let it out whats your dream computer setup even if you probably will never get it...

Its the Apple mac pro and if you max out everything it goes to over $36 000 and i know its not good for gaming coz its mac but the price...
My current computer: 22" samsung something, a nVidia 9800GT overclocked, 3.0 GHz core 2 duo over clocked to 3.6 GHz 500 gb HDD g15 keyboard and g9 mouse and 2 GB ram.
My future comp that im accually getting: i7 2.66 over clocked to aleast 3.0

And im looking at another screen maybe 23 or 24"
